My sister found a puppy on the back side of Maricopa Meadows.  It was running with a small terrier type dog, my sister could only get the puppy.  It has no collar no tags.  Please send a PM if you think this may be your puppy.  She REALLY wants to get back home!

SOMEONE must be missing this puppy! She's a little fatty and understands simple commands.. no doubt someones pet. DH said we could keep her here through the weekend but after that we need to either find someone to foster her or have AC&C pick her up. I talked to them yesterday and am confident she'll be quickly adopted....

She's dark colored and in DH's words "going to be a big dog". We think part rotty, part lab maybe..

Have you tried taking her to one of the vets in town to see if she is micro chipped? It might be worth a shot??

I was going to today but our truck is down in Casa Grande having some work done to it.  In order to take her in our car I'd need to pull the carseats out and I was too lazy to do that.  DH just finished working and both kids took naps at different times today so getting up there was too much a task.  I did talk to Maricopa Wells Vet Hospital this morning and let them know I had her in case someone calls.  I thought the other vet was only open Tue - Th so I didn't even try calling.

We're going to look for signs this evening and will probably put a few up.  I'll take some pictures a little later and try posting....  We're running to pick up some puppy food as the dog food I fed her last night didn't settle well.

She's just so cute.

I know the other vet,Maricopa Animal Hospital (in the trailer near Penascos) is open Saturdays. You could also try www.petsocialworker.org she has a lost/found area on her site and if you can get a hold of her she also has a micro chip scanner and maybe she could come to you. I have both my dogs chipped because sometimes they play so hard they have managed to rip their collars off so if they ever got out of the yard it wouldn't suprise me to find them running down the street with no collars and tags...lets hope this puppy's owners got her micro chipped.

I posted a picture in my avatar. I'll try to get a better one tomorrow during the day. Hopefully someone will claim her soon! She's the sweetest thing and I'd LOVE to keep her but DH is determined she needs to be out of here by this weekend.

Our 4 year old has been calling her "Orphan Annie".

Do you still have her? I might be able to take her in for you if you haven't found her owner or taken her to AC&C.

Where did you find her? A neighbor a few houses down had a litter of lab/rott mix puppies. They were trying to sell them when they had to move. They moved in a hurry and I have no forwarding information so the pup may just have to go out for adoption. They did say they were taking all of the dogs with them. I DO know that the mother was SUPER sweet.

Opp... Haven't been on for a while!

We took her up to a rescue in Prescott last weekend. She was pretty hairy and the vet said she was going to be a big dog so I figured she'd probably be better off up there with the cooler temps.... I've been in contact with her 'foster' mom all week and she's in a potential adoption situation already! The vet next to Chitwoods (EXCELLENT experience with them!) thought she was an Austrian Sheppard mix.. possibly with lab. The rescue has her listed as a 'Bernese Mountain Dog'. She really was a sweet puppy. The vet thought she was probably a stray but I'm not so sure as she understood sit & stay.

Here's her page: http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=10633710

Guess I better change my avatar and signature line....
