I am going to be needing an in home nanny at the end of January - - In California, I find nanny's on craigslist but unfortunately, we don't have any postings for Maricopa. Is there a specific place I should be looking for nanny's around here? A registry with the city maybe? Also, what is the going rate for childcare? I am looking for someone who is older, not a teenager, with experience but part time work (20 hours a week set schedule)
Any help would be appreciated.

Child Care Resource & Referral is the state registry for child care providers and they list individual nannies. You can contact them at (480) 829-0500 or (800) 535-4599 or online at www.asccaz.org for an online search.

Arizona Lullaby Guild will help you staff a nanny for part-time care and they don't charge the outrageous fees that many nanny agencies charge. (602) 852-0459 But, there are other agencies out there, too. Just Google "nanny agencies , phoenix" and I'm sure you'll find everything you need.

Otherwise, you might want to post an ad w/ ASU or with the community colleges - maybe you could find a student in the Education department who is looking for a job?

Good luck!
