Alert | does your child have a lovey object? what is it?
my girls have blankets. DD#1 has a purple, thermal blanket that she calls "purple" and refers to it as a "her", as in "she is in the loft".
DD#2 has a silky pink blanket, that she calls "pinkie".
they sleep with them, chill with them, and walk around the house with them, but they don't go in public with us.
i have spares for both for those times when purple or pinkie need baths in the washer.
what loveys are at your house? | | If you can't spot the loser, it might be you

Alert | | My oldest never had a favorite object. The twins are too small so we shall see. | | I am enough of an artist to draw freely upon my imagination. Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world. -Albert Einstein

Alert | Blankets at our house too... my 2 year old son has 2 blue and 1 green one. He uses them to sleep with, watch tv with, play with, etc. He loves all 3 of them equally and likes to have them all out at once. God forbid they need washing at the same time...

Alert | | DD has a purple fleece that she sleeps with and sometimes needs on the couch and a teddy. DS sometimes acts attached to "crab and whale" but other times ignores them completely. He needs mom more than anything else.

Alert | | LOL My 15 y/o had (ok HAS) a blanket (Mr. Blankie) that I made for her when she was lil & a teddy bear (Annabelle) that I actually got at her baby shower before she was born- these 2 items STILL sleep in her bed -as she puts it they are JUST there and I never take them off (yeah right!) I also thinkk t is very sweet as she is known as the ICE PRINCESS! My 2 y/o has a Lovey Bunny- a lil teething bunny I got at Walmart and it says I love Mommy & the spare says I love Daddy- PLUS a teddy bear(Lolabear) I got for her when she was 3 months old. I should also note that LoveyBunnys ears are disgusting- she sucks them!!!

Alert | | My almost-3-year-old has a little monkey. He used to be called "oo-aa" but graduated to his true name, "Monkey" after my son started talking more. We had two spare monkeys but lost one at Babies R Us. Then, last week we had an interesting moment when my son noticed Monkey #2 up high in the hall closet. Um, AWKWARD! I just let him stare at it and talk about it then I moved it the second his attention was diverted. Sweet baby boy. He loves that monkey!

Alert | | My 2 yr old has a tiny little blankie about 2ft X 2ft with duckies on it (not typical blanket size) which he will not sleep/ nap without. And his Light which is a little light music thing that puts a picture up on his ceiling. I love making sure he has them everynight I think it is so cute. I hope we never loose it cuz I don't think I could find the replacement.

Alert | My 5 year old daughter has a blanket that we bought her before she was born
My 3 year old son has 3 blankets that my husbands parents made for him before he was born (30 years ago).
For both of them, there arer no backups or exceptions. Only their blankets will do
