Hi....going to be a first time mom soon and I was looking for some recommendations or opinions (good or bad) on day care providers in the area. I have seen a lot of postings craigslist.  Any advice and info is appreciated as I know nothing about what to look for etc. Thanks.

Good luck. There are so many scary people out there. The internet is full of bad baby sitters. I'm sorry, I don't mean to scare you. I have a 7 month old and I hug my baby tighter and tighter every time I hear one of these stories. I guess the best thing to do is have several interviews and if you get a bad vibe, run away. PM if you ever have any baby or pregnancy questions.

Are you ready for some football?

A recommendation... Maybe you already found one... I had good experience ... thanks God... with day care... look for a clean, safe and organize enviroment. Talk to the provider, check out the place and ask for recommendation more than 1... Hope you can find someone that you can trust...

Do you want something right here in Maricopa? I used to work at a facility off of the 101 and Elliott....it is the only place I would take my infant to. They have very strict policies that are followed by everyone who works there. They are meticulous about cleaning throughout the day. In fact, when the state inspector would come (they always do surprise visits, so it's not like we ever "prepared" for them) he would always say that when he visits other centers he always tells them they should be doing things like that center does. They are pretty pricey though...PM me if you're still looking and want the details. Congrats on the new baby!

My recommendation for daycare is Auntie Ann's. Yes it sounds like the pretzel place in the mall. We have been using Auntie Ann's daycare since our daughter was 4 months old. And I will say this, she is great. Our daughter has learned a lot and is very well taken care of. We haven't had any problems with Ann nor the kids that she watches. I think she might have an add or something on this site. If not, post on here and I will make sure she get's back with you. I can't tell you the wonderful job that she has done with our daughter. Ann is also very attentive to the needs of our daughter. Another nice thing about Ann is she offers a Parents Night Out, so if you want to spend time with your loved one, she will watch your kid. This is just an added bonus!

sunny i have a great recommensation for you. she is in, Altera, right by the Maricopa Wells Middle School. she currently babysits my 2 daughters and she used to babysit my husbands sisters when they were little. It's her and her daughter that do it together. her prices are reasonable and i promise you, she is the nicest lady you have ever met. just PM me if you would like some information.

I would highly recommend Auntie Ann's.  She is wonderful, accommidating, and dependable.  Awesome!  I can't express that enough.  I went through a tough time trying to find a daycare for my 2 year old daughter.  I did like some others but Auntie Ann just seemed to fit for us.  Good luck!

So far so good at Tutor-Time. They seem to really care. Doesn't compare to the one-on-one of in-home care, and we had the best, but the structure is more inline with an actual school, the children are really challenged, and the results are pretty amazing!
