We couldn't be more thrilled..her boyfriend..popped the question on the beach at Point Pleasant, N.J. tonight after the fireworks....they called us about 2 hours ago and I'm still crying! They have built a love out of friendship..who could ask for more?

Being so far away from them and our family back east just makes it a bit harder..but all your congrat's sure helped..so thanks for sending them my way..and yes...I'm tearing up.... good news is they'll be here for a visit 3rd week of August....

that's awesome! congrats to you and your family. when i got engaged, i had planned on a big wedding, set for a year later, with the big white dress...etc....etc.... i bought this book called "bridal bargains" and it had sooo much info about everything from photography to cakes, etc. you may want to check it out. it had things in there that i hadn't even thought of. anyway, it's worth a read.

Congratulations to the happy couple... And of course, to their happy familles as well. So do they have to actually get married before you start fantasizing about the grandchildren they're going to give you? It's so exciting to see a family grow and fill up with even more love. Serp.

Congratulations Garden Glow. My husband and I have been married 5 years. I still remember the proposal. It was so unreal to me, my whole body went numb when he got on one knee. We too had a beautiful friendship that blossomed into romance. It sound like the two of them were meant to be. Let me know if you need any suggestions. Our wedding was pretty big and filled with lots of stress and wonderful memories.
