Thanks so much Monica for starting this thread...my name is Desiree, and my husband, Tim is in the new police dept out there...we are in the process of having a home built. We are currently in Gilbert, but I would like to start meeting people in Maricopa, especially families!!! We have a six year old, four year old, and nine month old, plus we are in the final stages of getting our foster care license! I homeschool, so we are looking for fun things to do always and other families with kids...please email me, I'd be happy to help you get something set up for everyone...I think most people are pretty new to Maricopa and we all need to meet! I'm also a scrapbooking fanatic and would love to have some "mom's time" to do that...I know we all need to get caught up. Alert | | ok, so i'm thinking...someone call the fire department! no, really...if we want some mom's time w/o kids, maybe we could divide up into like 2 groups, and alternate. one time group 1 has all the kiddies and does fun kid stuff and group 2 gets some mom time, scrapbooking, knitting, drinking to excess, whatever, and then the next time we switch off. i'd be willing to pull some shifts sitting now, even though i won't have one to sit for another 6 weeks or so. i'm looking ahead to wanting to do baby swaps occasionally with other mothers once nick is born (and i can stand to be away from him, of course) because is seems like a great financial alternative to hiring babysitters when we need some grownup time. how does this sound? | | | |

Well we would like to get to know couples that have young kids to get together and have fun... I miss that about San Diego... we were all kind of the same age and have kids that were kind of the same age... so the Boys (Dad) will play pocker or tennis softball, and the ladies will get together and do some projects and the babies will be around us the moms playing... or the boys will stay with the kids while the moms will have some fun... so if someone interested... let's try to do that!</div>
We have a 5 year old and a 2 year old, both girls. So if you are ever interested just PM me or Ratboy and we'll be more than happy to hang out with you and the family.

Alert | I finally get to reply! How do we go from talking about getting together to actually doing it? Demonica, I like your suggestion! My hubby and I have 2 boys (almost 3 yrs & 5 months). I stay at home and love photography and scrapbooking. My hubby is a HUGE sports fan and now that the football season is starting...I am entering my fall widowhood.
