You Unix guys are so funny; all about overalls, long beards and telling Microsoft to leave you alone about activating your MSN

Ubuntu's going more main-stream by being an option for some new Dell systems. Vista's Aero has NOTHING on Beryl. I can't wait until the Beryl/Compiz merger is complete for me to play with!

So does the agreement Novell made with MS bother you?

I tried out Suse for a while, but I like Ubuntu much better. The installation was a lot easier too!

I think the Novell deal was just a CYA.

Hi guys.. New to Maricopa (moved last week).. Software engineer here, so I run a bunch of stuff.

Main OS: OSX
Server: Gentoo (continuously updated since 1999, never resinstalled, or "update install").
Various forms of Linux for different purposed (KnoppMyth, etc.)

At work, I use CentOS 4 and RHEL..

Last version of Windows used as my main OS: Windows for Workgroups 3.11

I will run wndows for the occsaional app, but never as my main os. (and I usually take it off the network too)

I have a collection of C64's (and a couple 1541's).. One of these days I'll hook'em back up..

I also used an Amiga for a few years... Amiga 2000 with Bridge card (Made the Amiga IBM XT compatible.. Actaully had a seperate CPU from the Amiga's CPU.. Pretty sweet..)..
