So.... I have a cox email address that I use as my main email address, I am able to use it because it on my moms account as one of her emails, however I have qwest service. I am able to set up Windows mail with using COX as the incoming server, but am not able to figure out the outgoing server and outgoing port numbers. I talked with COX and they said I could use their incoming server, but their outgoing server wont work because I have qwest. Then I called Qwest and they can only give me the outgoing server for MSN accounts, which will not work with the COX account.

AHHH I am so confused, on the phone with DELL for 4 hours, and still no answer.

Anyone know where I can find the outgoing server and port numbers for Qwest, I am not sure why they cannot give me the numbers when I am paying for their service??!!!?

you are paying for their service, but not to send mail through their servers from the cox address. they likely are blocking the traffic to the cox outgoing server, which is why you cant find it. there really isnt an easy solution, unless you want to use the webmail version of the cox email client all the time.

yeah I use the cox webmail right now, but the Windows mail is so much easier. I already tried that outgoing server (pop.phnx.qwest.net) and it doesn't work. Thanks for trying! =)
