I'll start it off with mine....

3) Starcraft (PC)
4) Quake III (PC)
5) Super Tecmo Bowl (on the NES and SNES)

Wow.. Super Tecmo Bowl.... Ahhh I remember the HOURS!!! and DAYS!!!

1) City Of Heroes (PC)
2) City Of Villians (PC)
3) Mech Warrior (PC) all of them.
4) Star Trek (PC)
5) Tron (Arcade and PC)

Just doing it one day at a time. Change is good and it should be looked upon as an improvment! not a problem.

entirely too many good games to pick from.

1. tribes
2. command and conquer 2 i think it was
3. master blaster (might have been blaster master, on the NES)
4. EQ (more for the friends than the grind the game was)
5. Americas Army (used to love this back in the day)

Great Topic! I really hate just picking 5, though. Top 5 per platform maybe?

1. Super Metroid (SNES)
2. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES)
3. Command & Conquer: Red Alert (PC)
4. Castlevania 3: Dracula's Curse (NES)
5. Mortal Kombat II (SNES/Arcade)

1. Sonic the Hedgehog - haven't played in years but was addicted at one time
2. Diablo - not sure which one, just like to hack and slash. my favorite was the cow.
3. Tetris
4. Zoo Tycoon - like to let the animals loose to eat the people. It's really fun with the dinosaurs!

The Secret Cow Level was from Diablo II. Huge upright bovine with halberds walking around going "moo....moo moo moo.......moo"

Zoo Tycoon is great! I love letting loose the big cats........... hehehe

I do not play that often. We've tried the multi-play thing and I just follow him around. There was a new game, can't remember the name, but we were fighting the Spartans. That one was fun too. When he ordered my laptop he made sure it has a good graphics card so we could all play, but then one of our other computers went down. He still needs to work on that one, then the whole family can play. Oh Never Winter Nights, that's another one that they (the family) is waiting for the new version.

The God of War series would be a good hack n slash, but if you're strictly PC, then JasonY's right on with the FPSs.

Ohhhh...

Don't forget NAvy Seals.. the series!

They are great ... but it does require you to think a little.... killing stuff is great in it though.

I love Age of Empires II, actually I like most of the RTS games I have ever played. Star Wars Empire at War is my latest RTS craze. Stronghold and Stronghold Crusader are great fun too for the PC....

You nutty console players, those aren't games you are listing!

Some old school innovative titles:

1. Fallout series
2. The Neverhood
3. Privateer
4. MDK2
5. Baulder's Gate series
