We have dish network. I prefer it over dirctv. They basically all have the same channels. I think Dish is so much easier to navigate around. Plus we have DVR and can watch it on two tv's in our house. I believe with directv if you wanted to watch something you would have to have another DVR reciever with that tv. For us, its just more practical.

About a year ago we had Dish Network and we loved it. We had one DVR box that worked for 2 tv's. It was absolutely great. Channel lineup and navigation was very easy. The only thing that I noticed was that whenever it rained or windstorms blew our signal would go out. I don't think that it was a problem with the dish, maybe just the installer did not tighten the screws well enough.
When we moved we decided to try Directv to see which one we liked most. We got a great deal on the first four months of service but nothing really that special. They also have the DVR box but it only works on one tv. The pricing is pretty much the same on both sides.
My best advice is check both websites out. IMO try Dish Network.
