My vote goes to Mama T's.

My answer WAS "NO" to Q#5 and Q#1.

For those of you citing Mama T's as the best pizza in town? What are you ordering? I am willing to give it another shot, but like I said in an earlier post, my one experience there was that it was a knock off of Pizza Hut. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing. I think we just ordered a pan pepperoni.

So far, my tastebuds still vote for Brooklyn Boys.

So far I've only tried Barros and Brooklyn Boys. As someone born and raised in NY--only in AZ for a year, I have to say that Brooklyn Boys pizza is the first I've had in the state of AZ that tastes just like an authentic NY pizza. I also think that your favorite pizza really depends on whether you prefer NY or Chicago-style pizza--a matter of personal preference. I'm more of a NY pizza person, so I'm guessing I'll prefer Brooklyn Boys over Rozzati's--although I still need to try Rozzati's now, based on how many people voted for it. But I'll judge Brooklyn Boys against what I know to be authentic NY-style pizza, and Rozzati's against what I know to be authentic Chicago-style pizza--2 very different things.

In any case I wasn't impressed by Barros at all--to me their pizza tasted like mediocre fast-food chain pizza rather than that of a real pizzeria. Maybe I just went there on a bad day...

I still have to try all of the the others--although based on everyone's reviews of Fat Daddy's I won't be going there!

ROSATI'S is by far the best pizza in this town. Sure it's a little more expensive, but their quality of ingredients is superior and it shows in the taste of the pizza. Barro's is a distant second.

If you really crave a pizza 'ny style' then Brooklyn Boys is good, but a bit lacking in the sauce. Kinda blah...My fave is Mama T's........thin crust, extra cheese!! I have to add some oregano and crushed pepper at home, mmmmmmm! I don't like all the toppings, but my family does, and its always loaded with FRESH toppings..yeah, real mushrooms, not that canned junk.

Right on Colgate!

If anyone is looking for the Pizza joint they used to go to on the corner in Jersey, or the Chinese joint the used to love in New York, im sure they are still there. This has always been a complaint of mine, if you think Texas is the best, or Philly is the best, what are you doing here? Just go back already. In the meantime this post was the best Pizza IN TOWN, sorry if we so stupidly talked about that, and not how everything here sucks in comparison to the great Pizza joints you experienced elsewhere. Some of us are happy with our decision to move to Maricopa, and would like to know others experiences at the eateries that exist in our town where we live, not those that we left a plane trip away.

Personally I ate at Fat Daddys last night, not withstanding any personal issues people may have: the pizza was good, the people there were nice, they even made up a salad for me to go, I wasnt expecting a New York slice of pepperoni, just something other than Pizza Hut, and enjoyed it just the same. Price was good, pizza was good. I will not think twice about picking up a Pizza there in the future.

Thanks!

I'll eat just about any of the Pizza around here. Theres no such thing as a bad pizza. Just some are better than others. Im a no go on Fat Daddys also but havent tried em in the last year or 2. I'd have to say Brooklyn Bros might be my fav at the moment followed by Rosati's but the last time we got Rosati's wasnt that great. Some of my favorite spots around PHX are Pino's al Centro (Central and Thomas), Pisa Pizza (Fountain Hills), Redendo's Pizza (Fountain Hills) and occasionaly NYPD (varies).

I have not tried Mama T's or Fat Daddy's. I guess I am wary of most pizza since I am spoiled. I work at Rosati's (not the Maricopa one), so my fiance and I pretty much can't go back to most "regular" pizza, lol. Barro's is just okay, and Pizza Hut is good for cheap food when you're drunk. I want to try Brooklyn Boys but don't really like NY style pizza, mainly since I went to Grimaldi's in Chandler once and had the worst pizza ever. So yeah, I guess I would say Rosati's is first in this category, then Pizza Hut and Barro's so far.

If your favorite pizza in town is anything other than Rosati's - then you haven't tried Rosati's or you don't want to pay for the premium ingredients flown in from Chicago.

Maybe I'm whining...maybe I'm complaining..but right about NOW I'd pay a million dollars for of "good slice of pie"..LOL..I called BB last night placed a huge order (unexpected company) and at the tail end of my order I asked for a large "pie" thin, juicy, and well-done..they responded we don't have "pie"...What kinda pie..a pizza pie! ROTFLMBO!!

p.s. the "pie" was good...but just good...

I am going to try some of these suggestions. But, I usually just buy frozen pizzas---
My favorite is:

Palermo Pizza----supreme----

This one has a thin crust and we love it.

Most restaurant chains make high carb
crusts and we don't like that at all because it sits in our stomach like a hunk of glue
and that is not good or healthy. Also way too much salt.

I do miss Nick and Nina....where did they go?

Racheal Ray has a great technique.....she buys pre made dough and loads it up.
Who has pre made dough for sell in Maricopa????????

One step further---who has a kick butt recipe for home made pizza. I have one somewhere
in my files but never tried it but it came highly recommended.
