Alert | | I can't wait for the Wal Mart Supercenter to get here. The grocery stores here are way to crowded and picked out. Too often I run into multiple items being out of stock at Fry's. Tonight I went for size 4 diapers, yeah right. Apparently there are tons of 18-24 month old kids in this town because my top 2 choices were sold out. Also, no 1% Fry's Milk. Crazy.

Alert | I am soooooo tired of Fry's ...and for that matter Bashes.....I was ready to go ballistic yesterday at Fry's....dirty dirty dirty...the deli stinks ( I never saw such a turnover in personal) EVERY time I am there I see a new clerk..25 minutes to get 4 items sliced or should I say hacked? Prices change at a whim...sale items are never stocked...the meat case alone should keep the Health Inspector busy forever...marbled brown steak yum!...OUTDATED HOT DOGS are you serious....????? I could go on and on and on...I use to be in the food service industry and trust me folks...you are purchasing 'bad product' everyday... Sorry I had to let that one out....
edited to add: I waste 30 -40 minutes every time I shop at either store checking expiration dates...oh and Bashes...no longer will make or provide POTATO SALAD...they want you to spend $8.99 a lb for some macaroni and canned veg's they put together....I don't have time to make pot.salad..... | | ANYONE HOME? Alert | | now that you mention it, I have noticed an extremely large ammount of Flies in the produce lately. I love Fry's and have always shopped them, but they are slacking out here in Maricopa.

Alert | There's been more than one occation where i have purchased frozen food there, only to open it up to see that it's clear it was defrosted and refrozen. There have been other items that I didn't purchase because I could tell from the way they 'sat' in the packaging that they'd thawed and been refrozen. Some of these things include meat products - you just can't go around selling frozen food that's been thawed and refrozen! It's no wonder though they way they stock the frozen food - if you go through the frozen food isles, they're packed with frozen food just sitting out in the aisles for who knows how long (obviously long enough to defrost!).
They're about to send me packing back over to Basha's - and I stopped shopping there as soon as Fry's opened because when they were the only game in town their service was horrid and their floors were always filthy (and if that's the case, I don't even want to think about the areas they store the food where they aren't trying to make it look good for the customers. I was so happy when Fry's opened because they had decent prices and were CLEAN. But that was then.
I think I may have to start doing some of my grocery shopping in Chander or Casa Grande! I already have to do some of it there for things that the stores here don't carry. I prefer to keep my business in town so Maricopa gets the benefit of the money I spend, but there are limits to my patience!
I'm hoping that the new Fresh & Easy Market that's coming will open soon and be great and I can do most of my grocery shopping there!

Alert | Management...I have complained numerous times..falling on deaf ears...why should either market sweat it right now? I never had the kahunah's to drive out of town on my own since I moved here and now with all the c*** that's going on with 347...so I'm stuck shopping in town and will continue UNTIL something BETTER comes along. However, NOT complaining to the management will allow them to continue to CUT corners at the consumers expense and health! | | ANYONE HOME? Alert | | I have complained about the frozen food - I walked over and handed them a package of frozen food that should have been flexible (one of those skillet meals, so lots of small pieces) and it was 1 huge solid mass. I told them that it had clearly been defrosted and frozen and they just took it back looking completely unconcerned and there was certainly no sign of thought that it was a bad thing for a customer to find food that is unfit for sale sitting waiting for someone to purchase it.

Alert | Yes Tigg,,,, since when is it okay to put frozen meat out in the "FRESH MEAT" section to let thaw and an unknowing customer picks that 'fresh meat' (thawed actually) and takes it home and RE-FREEZES it?
The frightening thing is it happens in both markets in town!!! | | ANYONE HOME? Residential Yard Clean-ups and Maintenance for more info go to the Business Section under Landscaping-Maintenance Click Here for our website.

Alert | I have never liked Fry's. Their produce and meats are always a problem (in any of their stores I have shopped at). I have paid premium prices for rib eye steak, to have it be tougher than a cheap cut of sirloin. You can never be sure if their fruit is going to be completely ripe and sweet. Bashas's turnover on products is slow so you can't be sure you are getting things that are fresh. I really miss my Safeway - the meats and produce were always good!
