I went last night to the bar area, and all I have to say is...the drinks are freakin cheap!! I'm pretty sure they don't have happy hour on Friday nights, or if they did they don't list it. We were pleasantly surprised. Also, good service in the bar area. I am really glad we have a place like this to go with friends when we don't want to drive back inebriated from Chandler or Tempe.

As for some of the above comments, maybe the waiter was busy which is why he couldn't stay and chat. Also, as a server I don't always offer desserts to a table with kids because I've had enough parents glare at me when I did, as their kids always said "Yes!" to dessert just as the parents said "No!" That is always awkward. You don't have to wait for someone to offer dessert if you want it; just say it.

My fiance and I were just talking about how we are more lenient and less picky when we go to restaurants, maybe due to the fact that we've both worked in the food industry. Some of our friends are much pickier, complaining because they don't get their refill the second their drink is gone. That sucks, but when you see your server running around trying to please everyone, give them a break. Have you ever been really busy at your job or at home with kids? Maybe too busy to answer the phone or some small task like that? If you need a refill and they are standing around talking to coworkers or picking lint off their shirt then fine, give them a smaller tip for not being observant. But when they appear to be making an effort, running around everywhere and still in a decent mood, give them some credit. Some things that happen actually are out of their control.

Talk about packed! My hubby and I went there last week. We were told that it would be about a 20 minute wait, so we went to the outside bar area to wait. The waitress ignored us. Maybe because we were holding one of those light up pager thingys and she was afraid we wouldn't tip her when called to our table? We were seated in 15 minutes, but it took about 45 minutes to get our food. I had the gyro and it was delicious. Our waitress was very busy but very friendly.

I do like the atmosphere and the peanut shells on the floor too......but has anyone thought that they can get TOO thick on the floor? I had to shuffle my sandals on the floor to keep from slipping. Still, we definitely will be back. It's nice to have more choices out here in Maricopa.

We won't go as it is too expensive...IMO
We need a place where we can have dinners for under $10! or a burger under $7.
I'm sure it is good though. Maybe we would go for the peanuts!

It must just be me, I didn't find it that special. I had the clam chowder and was turned off by the color and it was really salty. I ordered a salad and got a sandwich instead. My drink didn't get refilled. The interior is cute and I really thought the personnel was putting their best foot forward, but I won't be rushing back. Three of my friends have gone and they really enjoyed it.

I thought somebody on here mentioned that it was.

I can't quite remember though...

I could be wrong

That would be a great thing.  The closest we've had is Carvin Jones, who used to let people come up on stage and jam with him--that was lots of fun!

Come on out to Teakwoods, Wednesday evenings. Freddie Duran is pretty open to people steppin' up to the mic , or jammin with him if they want. The same goes over at Brooklyn Boys on Friday nights.  I've seen people step up to sing, or jam to the blues with Freddie.  Come out and see what's up.

We went there Sat night and only had to wait about 20min. Our food didn't take that long to get there and it was really yummy! My kids both got the kids mac and cheese and they loved it! They said it was the best they've ever had and they want me to get the recipe. LOL. They cleaned their plates. My hamburger was really good and my husband got the boneless chicken tenders and they were yummy too! It's nice to have another place in Maricopa to eat now. We'll definitely be back. We loved having the peanuts to eat while we waited. I do think the floor was a little slippery. Is that from the peanuts?

I don't think the prices are bad. We spent the same amount as we do when we go to Native New Yorker or Arena.

My husband and I have been a few times now - both with a big groups of friends. The staff has been great, and so has the food. We are very pleased so far, and hope that it continues!

For those of you that have made comments about price...would you rather crappy food for cheaper prices...AKA Ramseys - see what that did for him. Any place you go to now adays has around the same prices, and getting a great restraurant in town and KEEPING it here is a trade off I would take any day.

Also - their special for their soup last Saturday was "Philly Cheese" - and tasted just like a Philly Cheese Steak!! We were hesitant about it, and when we asked the waiter about it, he brought us out a sample so we could try it before we ordered it. We both ended up getting it. I love service like that, and I really enjoy a restaurant like this in Maricopa.
