Alert | | Some of you people are unbelievable. Teakwoods has a proven system/menu/wait staff and all some of you want to do is complain! I believe that you really don't want to find a good establishment, you just can't wait to slam whoever comes into town. Get a life. Lets let them do their thing. I am certain that all will work out well and they will have long life and prosper. Thanks for coming to town Teakwoods. (and for the naysayers, no, I am not the owner, nor have I ever been to this Teakwoods but I look forward to getting there this week.

Alert | I'm not going to base my opinions on teakwood...I've already heard good stuff about them from their other locations, and am truly excited they are here in our city. I know the first week or two, there are cogs and kinks to work out, but I'm sure with each passing day, they'll get things more together. One thing though from what some people have commented....Like I said before, I don't care how new or good of an establishment is, one hour food wait....unacceptable.

Alert | New establishment, first week, even a long wait I will forgive. The way management deals with the situation, unacceptable!! My husband, daughter and I went to Teakwood’s on Wednesday evening. Yes, I know it was first day so we were willing to over look a lot. We waited well over 40 min for our food. (Mind you after first 2 or 3 choices we were told they ran out of) At one point after pointing out to the waiter that we had been waiting for some time, 10 more min went by and my husband had to go track down the waiter in the bar. A female mgr came out with *part* of our order and half way apologized, blamed it on first day.. Pretty much said "oh well" ..... but she did say that she would adjust our bill. Five or so min later, my husband’s sandwich comes, he takes one bite and it is bad. (daughter also takes bite and agrees) Other than that, the other food we had was not bad (at this point still willing to be open and forgiving as it is the first day and all). Bus boy comes takes away FULL SANDWICH minus two small *sample* bites. When we get the bill there is a small percentage that has been removed from our bill, but he is still charged for the sandwich (mind you we have only seen waiter again when he hands over check). We ask to speak to mgr and begin to explain situation and how we appreciated the discount; however, we really do not feel we should pay for a sandwich that was not eaten. My husband states something to the effect that “it was not edible” and the Mgr Laughed at him. My daughter and I watched in amazement. Shocked by his lack of concern, we were merely trying to have a civilized discussion and he was beyond rude. He dismissed us and said dont worry about the bill but laughed as he said it. My husband asked if he lived in Maricopa knowing that there are such few restaurants in our small community (I do not remember the response) He also mentioned the 85239 website to which the manager responded "You can probably post something from your table right now” in a highly sarcastic tone. Since I am in the customer service industry and have been so for well over 15 years, His response was unacceptable and rude. He obliviously was having a bad day, 1st day opening and all, but to be laughed at and dismissed was no way to treat a customer who was nothing but patient and polite. (Our entire experience lasted well over 1 ½ for no appetizers and 3 sandwiches) We left in Shock and awe realizing that we will continue to take our business to the few business in Maricopa that have good customer service Teakwood’s will not be one of them.
*** BTW….after a few phone call’s we were informed that this manager was also a manager for other Teakwood is in the valley. Sadly, that made the situation even more astonishing as someone who is in charge of several restaurants should have an even higher level of customer relation skills.

Alert | | Don't be so quick to slam the name Teakwood's. Yes, as mentioned before the Chandler Teakwood's is under different ownership. After meeting the owner on Thursday night it is highly unlikely that she will run her ship that way. We had a very long wait and that is only due to my making a special request on what I ordered. It was great atmosphere and the place was well thought out. This will be a great location for families to dine out. No poker games for the kiddies to have to turn a blind eye at while trying to eat!!! Yeah. | | Live every day as if it were your last and smile!

Alert | what do you mean it was not edible? Do you mean the meat was bad or you just did not like it? I think he probably laughed because that's a weird thing to say without explaining. Granted he should not have laughed to your face, but managers are faced all the time with people just wanting free food. It sounds like everyone had to wait that night, as it was the first day. That's to be expected; have you seen the amount of posts on here saying "I can't wait til Teakwoods opens"? One hour to get your food sucks, but realize that it's not like it took one hour to cook your food. That would be unacceptable and odd; rather, they only had a certain amount of cooks , who were brand new to the location, and a certain amount of space to work with. Couple that with new servers and maybe more people than expected and you have a long wait time, probably over a half hour just for the cooks to get your ticket. Again I do not agree with the manager's attitude, but seriously, the wait time and the fact that you hardly saw your waiter was most likely due to the large amount of people they had to deal with.
I have not been there yet, but my fiance has and said it was good, with good service as usual.

Alert | went their Sat night. Waited maybe 5 minutes for a table and while our food did take a little longer than usual to arrive, it was well worth it. Everybody loved their meal. Very good job teakwoods.
question for the one hour waiters: did it take an hour to get your food or to be seated? If you waited an hour to be seated I cannot see how they can be held responsible for that. If there's no where to sit, there's no where to sit. If it took an hour to get your food, then that is on them and I'm sure it will be addressed and improved.

Alert | | Went yesterday afternoon, before the superbowl, its was dead inside. There a a genltman in there, which I am guessing was the manager. He was so rude. We had told him the reason his tvs were all different on sound was because they were on different channels. He turned to my husband and said "dont worry bro Im taking care of it" Who says that, that owns or run any establishment? My husband and I were in shock he said that. Yes my husband looks young but we also had my father with us and our two kids. It was uncalled for. We tried to ask other questions since we had never been to A teakwoods but he was to busy .. dont ask me with what....then after waiting forever for a beer (which they only had one type on tap, no childrens cups, were out of almost everything, gave me slider bun for a regular size hamburger) we decided that we wouldnt go back. I'd rather drive 25 minutes and atleast get better service.

Alert | | Service isnt bad for food or seating if you are sitting at the bar. If its just my husband and I and there is going to be a wait for seating at any returant I always just ask to go sit at the bar. You do sometimes have to remind them to get your drinks <img src='http://www.85239.com/desktopmodules/ntforums/images/emoticons/smile.gif' height='20' width='20' border='0' title='Smile' align='absmiddle'> I wont judge just yet though. I will give them some time to work out the kinks, for the employees to get into the flow of things. From my experience (in the bar area) service was acceptable, the staff is friendly.

Alert | | My hisbend and I went with our baby and the service was VERY slow she kept forgetting out drinks she would come bak to the table several times and say:your milk is comming right out" She was running around like a chicken with her head cut off. They either need more servers until they all get trained or maybe she was just having a bad day. But anyway the food was not all that great however my kids speggetti was ok. My husbends food was ok to but mine was so bland. I am hoping they just had a bad day. We will try it agin just in case!!

Alert | | We had to wait a very long time too. We got sat right a way but we did not even put a drink order in until like 10-15 min, not to mention tohe food wait. The poor waitress was running around like a chicken with her head cut off. All the waiters looked stressed. They need to have more servers on at least till thay are all trained. Our waitress kept forgetting our sons drinks, and the food was not all that good. Mine was very plain but my husbends was ok her has the carne asada. We were very disapointed however we are hoping that they were just having a bad day. We will try it again just in case.
