I won't go for a week or two -- let them get the cobwebs out.

But...that food photo on the home page of 85239 -- WHAT is that supposed to be?? Ugh! I don't want to be gross or anything but it really looks like someone lost their dinner on the dinner plate.

Yikes.

Didn't get an invitation from 85239.com but went tonight at about 6, just before the crowd came in. It was fun and loud. I had the club and my husband had something the waitress suggested...beef on sourdough bread with mashed potatoes and gravy. We both liked our meals and it was free!! Just had to pay for the drinks. Never went to Ramsey's, but will go back to Teakwoods. Love the peanuts!!!

I have always loved Teakwoods in the valley.
On another note though... I was sent invites from several different organizations this week for this "Pre-View" thing today. Non of which mentioned anything about it being exclusive to 85239.com members or needing a "Ticket"
What was up with that posting?

I wondered about that too. I received an invite last week for the Friends and Family day today from a local organization, so I was confused when I saw the 85239 exclusive invite post.

The waiter tonight said that the 85239 announcement was uncalled for and that it caused them to back up considerably. I don't think they had any clue how they were going to get slammed.

Our meal was awesome as usual for the Teak.

I heard that they were backed up because the Communicator and Coupon Clipper both innacurately published that they were already open. Oh and Ladies Time Out supposedly sent out 250 evites that the owner said she did not have permission to send.

Where was 85239s announcement? They never said it was open to the public. They said it was a private party. Apparently didn't stop people who can't turn down food - much less free food - from going anyway.

It was only open to friends and family. They officialy open to the public today (1/30). But once you mention free food, everyone wants to get their piece of the pie. I agree, it should have been held as a "private" pre-view but I don't think the owners were going to expect unauthorized invites from other organizations, people, etc. other than their employees. I went as part of the friends and family. The food and service were wonderful. My only concern was the unauthorized invites caused it to be incredibly busy. Just because something is free doesn't mean people should take advantage, but that's how people are. I give Teakwoods an A+ for great food and great people that work there. <img src='http://www.85239.com/desktopmodules/ntforums/images/emoticons/biggrin.gif' height='20' width='20' border='0' title='Big Grin' align='absmiddle'>

The hosting staff wasn't aware that it was for friends and family. I walked by just to see if they were open and was invited in. No interest in who I knew and no request for a ticket.

The communication was off, but they rose to the occasion. That speaks very well of them, I think.

We got there at 6:30 pm and waited till 7:45 to be seated. The food came at 9:00 or so.

I had the Philly Cheese steak and the wife had the special that they do.. what ever it was.

Even though it was a long night out, we loved it. They did a great job on everything for being so darn crowded.

A+.... lol. going again tonight!

Just doing it one day at a time. Change is good and it should be looked upon as an improvment! not a problem.

Went yesterday for lunch. Great food and quite an extensive menu. Had the pretzel sticks, and they were the best! I wish them the best, its nice to have another option in town!

We went there last night for dinner. It took over an hour to get our food. When the food arrived it was good but most of us at the table had to get boxes to take it home since they had eaten so many peanuts due to the wait.

I don't care how many people are there.....1 hour for food wait is unexcusable.
