What is with the clientel in this joint. Went there tonight and I am now convinced inbreeding really does happen. Oh, the food sucked but the service was lousy.

Stopped at Arena for dinner with my better half on Monday night after work.

I ordered a diet soda was told by our server that each refill would be charged an additional $2.25, as there was football on tv.

I can understand that they don't want scums in there drinking free soda and watching the game. BUT, we were there for dinner(adequate food) and while we did watch the game, we left when dinner was over.

We ordered 2 waters, instead of sodas.

Great business plan there.

Charging for soda refills???? I bet there was a beer on special for less than $2.25 too.

This establishment touts itself as a 'family-friendly establishment, not a sports bar, etc...' I guess they are just not a 'designated driver' friendly establishment.

Actually, we don't tout ourselves as anything. We are just a couple of families trying to do business in Maricopa. Some of our policies might seem weird to you. PM me and I will happily explain why they are there. Also, we do have the greatest respect for designated drivers. Steve, Ryan, or myself would take you home if we thought you were too intoxicated to drive. I understand that you might not like our place and that is cool. But, personal attacks can take the wind out of anyone's sails.

Charging for beer refills? That's outrageous!! For a place that touts itself as a restaurant and bar this is apalling behavior. When will the madness stop!!!!!

I LIKE TO WRITE IN CAPSLOCK TOO! jesus, they changed for refills becuase there was a game on. i understand that. but then again i drink beer during the game so i never get free refills neway. chelby, dont let these people get you down. These are the same people that would complain that they dont get VIP serivce at a club when they only show up for the 9-10pm open bar.

BUSTED!

Actually the football package is approximately $7000.00. Plus Direct TV is $500.00 a month. But, what really ticks me off about this thread is that you had to bring up the fact that I am married to my brother. (THIS IS A JOKE-THE BROTHER PART)

Teeheehee....I never have these problems. Of course, I'm generally nice and courteous to the staff and servers.

Since when does anyone give free refills on beer?!?! We may be like "family" at Arena but definitely no inbreeding here!

The only downside to Arena's is, since The-Place-that-shall-not-be-named closed down, it's way busier....and the last couple of time's I've been there....I've come home to "I saw NEZ eating at Arena's" threads.

NEXT time I go there I will be Incognito. Or inbreeding with the staff...whatever.

LOL...

It doesn't take long for a Thread to CRASH and BURN...

LOL.....

Just doing it one day at a time. Change is good and it should be looked upon as an improvment! not a problem.
