Well, my little man is so sick today. With my oldest going camping all weekend, my husband working tomorrow and my little guy sick it looks like I may have to bow out for tomorrow. I'm SO disappointed.

If he sheds this fever by tonight I'm still going to come over, but I will have to play it by ear.

Oh, NY was fantastic! Seeing my sisters and my friends and the rest of my family was just absolutely wonderful. We didn't sleep in the same place a single night, though, so we were feeling a little tired and overwhelmed by the last day!

Ethan has blood (mixed with water or something) coming out one ear. I don't think that's a good thing. I don't think he's going to be better any time soon. I'm going to sit home and be jealous tomorrow morning.

well, it was just ruby and i this morning, we had a super nice visit. and she picked up my stitch for me, so i am off and running again! i missed everyone else, but after a 7:00 am staff meeting this morning, low key was not a bad thing!!! i have invitations for everyone for the baby shower. the date is tuesday, september 18 at 6:00 pm for dinner, so mark your calendars. if you can get in touch with me during the week, i can pass along the actual invites so that my best friend norma can actually get her RSVP list working and take a little stress off herself. looking forward to seeing you all soon.

jenny- how's the baby? call me!

Yes, Monica and I had a very nice visit. Picking up the stitch was easy. Miss everyone else though. Hope to see everyone next weekend.

wiz3283. We would love to have anyone interested in crocheting and knitting join the group. I'm sure that the rest of the group agrees with me, the more the merrier (sorry if spelled wrong).

Welcome Tammy! I'm so glad you found your way on 85239.com. Of COURSE you're welcome to attend our meetings. The women are terrific and the time is always well spent.

Speaking of meeting, I MISSED everyone today! I just got the baby down a little while ago and wow, is he sick. I was all alone with him most of the day which actually makes it a little easier to deal with him without having to tell him to stop yelling at his brothers!, but frustrating because I can't run out to have a cigarette or relax for a minute or anything. I'm REALLY looking forward to next Saturday. Where are we meeting?

I would love to join your knitting group. I am very new to knitting, what I do know I taught myself out of a book. I don't know anyone who knits or crochets so I haven't even been able to get enough help to start a pattern.

I have stuck all my yarn and needles in the closet for the past few months out of frustration, and it would be nice to pull them out again.

Can anyone tell me when & where the next meeting is & are you still accepting new members?

Thanks!!

I am so glad we're getting new members!!! Please don't worry about not being very good; everyone is there to help everyone else with crocheting and knitting both. We Knitwits are a great group of women, and I thoroughly enjoy our get-togethers! I'm sure you will, too.

Okay, Jenny, I need your help. I finally finished my sister-in-law's sweater, and I have a picture of her wearing it. How do I get it on the website that you created? If I email it to you, would you do it for me? I am electronically challenged. I'd put an emoticon here, but you all know how successful I've been with that!

See you all on Saturday!

Thanks for asking about Ethan. He woke up this morning, finally, without a fever. He's wildly cranky and totally exhausted but definitely on the mend. Thank god.

Chris, send the picture to my e-mail account (I'm so excited we'll get to see the final project!) and I'll get it up on the website.

For those who don't know about the Maricopa Knitwits, we have a yahoo group with links to different free patterns and a section for pictures of finished products. Send me a pm with your e-mail if you want to be on the yahoo group website.

Oh, one more thing....Project Linus. What does everyone think about Friday, September 7th? It will give us enough time to post it for the general public and also give people time to buy these no-sew fleece blankets for half-price on Labor Day weekend at Joanne's. I'll post a link to the sale when I post in the general section as long as the date is good for everyone else.
