Hi Chris, we missed you yesterday! I finished the bunny. Ruby fixed it up so that I could stuff up the head....finally. And then my 2 year old appropriated it immediately so I'm going to have to make another one for my sister anyway.

Thank you so much for offering to host on Saturday. I would be happy to go. I'm getting projects done at record rates!

Filly and I were talking about hosting a Project Linus Blanket bee and were wondering if anyone else was interested in participating. If so, I was thinking of posting in the general section once we get together to talk about a date (I'm willing to host at my house) and how it is supposed to be run.

Hi Chris,
We missed you on Saturday. Wanted to see how your top was coming. I don't know if I can make it on Saturday, because of the HOME and GARDEN show. I would like directions just in case we go on Friday.

Jenny,
I would be interested in the Linus project. Let me know when, and if you need me to have it at my house, or the knitting get together, let me know. We can switch around.

Hi guys-
I still want to make it to one of these groups!
This Saturday, I cannot do, since its my morning at Secondhand Books to take Sherman, so the kids can read to him.

Demonica- I'm sorry for being a no show, but I was not feeling 100%. I was on the verge of a migraine all day Friday, and was wrecked for the rest of the weekend.

What is the Linus project?

I, too, am curious about the Project Linus thing. If it involves sewing, then count me out. But if it involves crocheting, I might be interested depending on the time element. Now that I've started working full-time again (for the first time in about 6 years!), free time is at a premium. As soon as I finish my current project (I'm on the second sleeve) I've got several projects that I want to make for myself to wear to work when it gets cooler.

Would any of you prefer to change this Saturday's time to the afternoon, say 1:00 pm, instead of the morning? Either one is fine with me, but I was thinking that maybe more people, like the Sherm., might be able to come if it were in the pm. Let me know what you think.

I would have a hard time with 1:00 but can make 10:00.

The Linus Project has a website, if you want to take a look, then we can talk more on Saturday and make plans. www.phoenixpl.org

I wish I knew how to add pictures. I made the neatest hot pad this week, a felted bowl to organize my hand creams, and I still want to talk for years and years about my knitting needle holder.

As it turns out, the afternoon is not going to work for me either. So, we're sticking to 10:00 am at my house on Saturday, 8/04/07. PM me if you need directions.

What a terrific time, thank you! Monica, you were missed!

Here are the links that I promised for Smiley's yarn. It's the internet sales specials that I took advantage of. Maybe since the shipping is a flat $12.95 and it's a minimum order of $40 we might want to get together and put an order in together?

http://www.pagelinx.com/cgi-shopper/loadpage.cgi/smileysyarns/ezshopper?user_id=id&file=iriot.htmhttp://www.

I'll put the thread in the general section about The Linus Project. Don't forget to post if I've forgotten something.

Sorry, that link doesn't work and the edit button is missing...here's the name of the site -

http://www.smileysyarns.com/ - and then click on the Internet Sales offers on the top left of the screen. If there is anything you want me to get directly from the store in two weeks when I'm in NY, let me know. There's a store-only section, too.

I didn't feel like pm'ing this to everyone individually

Would you like me to start a private yahoo group to regularly communicate our plans? If so, pm me your e-mail address and I'll do that. If we're okay just blasting everything on here, that's fine, too.

We could always come on here once a week to remind everyone of our craft day get-together times.

Thank you to Denise, Ruby, Janelle and Jenny for coming to my house today. I enjoyed your company so much. Monica, I'm so sorry you weren't able to make it. Hope to see everyone next Saturday. Keeps us posted on where. Are we sticking with the 10:00 am time slot? That sure works for me.<img src='http://www.85239.com/desktopmodules/ntforums/images/emoticons/cool.gif' height='20' width='20' border='0' title='Cool' align='absmiddle'>
