I looked into the local book club... and I gotta say, I don't read anything they talk about. I am looking to get together with people who read books I like. Anyone interested?

Janet Evanovich
Kay Hooper
Catherine Coulter
and many others...

I am always looking for people to swap authors and books with.

I have read Iris Johansen and Sandra Brown before. I just started reading Karen Harper: she has a great amish murder mystery set. I am also just starting to read Alex Kava: about a female FBI profiler. It is very good also.

The book club that I belong to here in Maricopa (might be the same one?) offered the club a chance several times a year to pick books... So everyone has a say in what is and is not read.

I would have never read our last book about Danny Pearl but I did it for the book club and am sort of glad I did. I think reading things that are outside your box make a person a lettle more well rounded.

I read about 4 books a month, 3 I pick and one the group picks.

Your still more then welcome to join us! The next meeting is at my house. PM me if intrested!

Hello,
I like some of those authors as well as James Doss, J.A. Jance, Nevada Barr. Also historical books like " A Little War of Our Own" about the range war up in Northeastern Az. and some Hugh Ross ( takes a while to plow through and longer to digest, but, very interesting..)

I think Jen from Second hand pages is starting a new book club with varying genres, but sounds like she has some great ideas on how to get a good selection and discussion.
