I'm not sure why you say deceptive? There is nothing deceptive about what I do. It's not an MLM, the 2 are VERY different. Do you want me to email you the differences? I have them listed in a word document. I don't distribute anything and I don't sell anything. All I know is that I love what I do. It's very simple and very different from other home businesses. I tried Avon and I hated it. I almost tried Mary Kay, but it's too much like Avon, so I didn't try it. The best part about what I do is that I educate people on how to make their homes and lives healthier. I am a Wellness Educator, not a salesperson. Anybody can do what I do cause it's about helping others. No sales experience necessary, which with MLM's that seems to be a requirement.

Sounds a lot like the Amway BS......tell how great it was but refuse to tell you who the company was or what was involved unless you invited them to your home to tell you all about it.

Well I definitely don't work with Amway, nor would I want to. I'm not refusing to tell you who I work with, I just didn't think it was allowed in the open forum, that's all. If you really want to know then PM me. I'm not hiding anything, just don't want to get into trouble from the forum police. I also don't invite people to come to my home. That doesn't even sound safe, especially if I don't know them. I have had friends come over, but they know all about it before they even walk through my door. I mostly do everything over the phone. That's what makes it so easy. The company I work with has been around for over 20 years and they are members of the BBB. If it's allowed to post business names, then let me know and I will.

I do production and graphic design for a creative studio in Newport Beach, CA. I'm very lucky as they let me work from my home. However, working from home is a double-edged sword. On one hand you have complete freedom, and on the other hand, you have complete freedom. It sure beats commuting on the 347 everyday. I just couldn't handle that.

I've been lucky enough to work from home for the last 6 years. No more babysitters! I got deeply involved with Ebay! Now my kids have all their friends over here all the time! The parents know that I am always here to supervise. It gets pretty nutty at times! I will say, though, that working from home makes me really yearn for adult conversation and more socialization.

Considering that their products are concentrated and last awhile, the prices are really competitive to other stores. The best part is that I don't sell, stock, or deliver products or collect any money! That's one of the reasons why I love what I do. Helping people make their homes healthier is the main reason that I do what I do!

Cmfitness, I know what you mean about having kids over all the time. I'm the same way, my kids have their friends over a lot and parents know I'm here to supervise. I don't mind though. I'm on the phone a lot with other team members, so I never yearn for adult conversation. I get a lot of it during the day.

I work it out with my management to allow me to work from home usually one day a week.
Also if I ever have to be at home for say Home Team Pest Defense to come and spray the house to keep those nasty Wolf Spiders away....then I also coordinate on those days to work from home.
The problem is I still have to drive into town to drop my son off at his school....which is in the Kyrene School District.....but his school doesn't bus from Maricopa.
So I'm not really saving any on gas....but "working" at home on some days can actually be quite an oxymoron!

On other days I am seriously working my tail off.

I would have used another word in that last sentence...but I don't won't my post to get pulled be ye that monitor the posts---some Oz like character living behind a yellow curtain somewhere in a air conditioned RV in Maricopa.

I am considering working for UoP being an online teacher for undergraduate and masters degree programs. They have requested my resume. That particular job would be 100% online and would be a supplement to my income from my current job.

I have five kids, one of which is not in school yet. I feel very blessed to be working from home. I have just started my company and although, the income is not pouring in, being here with my kids makes it worth it. When I take a break from work, it's to play with my son, or get some laundry done, much better than running to a vending machine. I would love to network with other working moms in the area.

We work from home selling romantic novelties, adult toys, spa products. We also have just recently branched into doing some risque theme parties, like pole dancing and coming soon - lessons on some 'below the belt' activities.

Hubby & I have started our own business and we both work from home. We love being able to raise our children & actually watch them grow. We still lack a good schedule with our new business, but at least we have nap time down.
Fancy Pants, your job sounds fun! Who is going to be teaching these lessons?

I work from home as a medical transcriptionist. I've been doing medical transcription for 10 years, after going to school for almost 2 years. It's not just a job you can do because you can type. You actually have to know a lot about anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, etc. You would be surprised the number of 'mistakes' doctors make, and with the patient's life in my hands, I take my job and continuing education in my field very seriously. In addition to that, you have to be able to understand doctors from all over the world and their very interesting accents. I currently work for Mayo Clinic. They provide me with my internet service, which I can share with the rest of the members of my household via a router, as well as a second phone line. In addition to that, the pay rate is exceptional and the benefits are unbelievable. I have a set Monday-Friday schedule and all the overtime I can handle during the snowbird season. I also have the ability to flex that schedule should something come up with my kids or myself. As a single mom of two teenage boys, I couldn't ask for a better job.
