what happened with your HOA? (the law says they cant say no)

what happened with ED3 (backwards spinning meter to BUY your extra electric from you)...

lemme know... OR anyone TRYING and how is it going?

also have you seen the new solar panels that are SHINGLES? yep, SHINGLES, NOT big black boxes.. and in different colors to MATCH your existing tiles...

we are off grid and have had to put in a new system.

We recently upgraded with additional panels, 33% more power on a sun tracker and it has really made a difference.

However, it is still not the be all, end all and come summer you cannot run A/C at night without the genset kicking in at 3.15 per gal for propane.

Works fine about 8-9 months of the year.

Your meter will run backwards on a sunny day, but at night it will reverse itself.

meter... yep i understood that you generate credits while running backwards... in theory if you did not use all you made, there would be a credit on your bill that would offset the nighttime use... BUT ED3 had said they are a "rural" electric company and do not have those meters... is that still true?

are you in an HOA area or out there on your own?..

thats a shame about ed3.

out in Hidden Valley, there is APS and they give a rebate of $4 per watt if you are on grid and 2 bucks per watt if off grid.

so 2500 watt system gives you a 10K check. but you will spend 15 to 25 K just to get the system.

Also, the State of AZ gives a 1000 tax credit.

American Solar Electric is great installer. PM me for contacts and no I am a customer and do not work there.
