Can someone help me? We have a spot that is always in the sun, from sunrise to sunset. I had a jade but it is crisp, it was doing so well until the 115 day. My husband also has the habit of killing my plants when I'm gone.

There are probably a bunch of plants you could try. A few that come to mind that don't mind 115 F and lots of sun, oleander, natal plum, pomegranate for example (all can be grown in pots too). Many more I'm sure too.

is it against a wall or something? if so you could put a desert adapted vine there, most of my queens wreath are doing super well along my backyard wall. you could buy a book by mary irsh called Arizona Gardeners Guide. it can be found for $9 used at amazon.com. in fact i suggest everyone who is not from here originally buy this book, its extremely useful.

Thanks for the input. The spot is actually a little off to the side of the house in our front yard. At least our house shadows most of the front yard in the morning.

It's actually quite sad my mom can make anything (plantwise) come back to life and I have the ability to kill the most unkillable plants. Too bad she lives in CA. =(

***offical stop by***

I have read and understood the posting on this thread and have nothing to add.

Just doing it one day at a time. Change is good and it should be looked upon as an improvment! not a problem.
