Alert | | About a year and a half ago we put in sod. It died last winter (almost a year ago) and has never completely comeback. I have green patches here and there and then some yellow and brown patches. I would like to see that beautiful green through out. Any inexpensive suggestions?

Alert | might be too late to do it now, since everything will be going dormant. What you can do, since your sod has been established is to put down winter grass. This will keep the roots of your normal grass happy. *remember* just cause your grass is DEAD in the winter, doesn't mean your roots are. Still water your grass at least once a week for 5 mins..
What you can do is flood the trouble spots with your hose for about 2-3 mins.. do this for about a few days... but like I said.. it might not work with this time of year..

Alert | | Dethatch it, and throw out winter grass.
