Alert | | Hello. I am getting really tired of the kids and dogs tracking in mud and all the weeds growing. I was wondering if I put down mulch as a covering if it would help with the weeds. Also, would I have to worry about it getting wet with dog pee or my kids playing in the water and get moldy or anything? Does anyone know where I can get it around here and around how much it would be? Thanks! | | | |

Alert | We have to do our backyard very slowly, and it's big, so we put down some mulch just off the patio to try and keep down the dust, dirt tracking, etc. Well, it started out fine, and it does keep the weeds down and breaks down into the dirt to make for a better soil, but after a season now, it is very dry and bigger pieces just move around and make a mess.
We have to move the mulch that is left to around some of the plants, but then we are still left with dirt.
Just thought I would let you know how mulch worked for us. ( Or didn't) | | Formerly known as *werunohu* !!
