Alert | | I have a couple of big planters on my front porch and throughout the spring I had some beautiful geraniums planted in them, but now the heat has pretty much killed them. What should I plant in them now that can survive the heat? I love to have some colorful flowers to make my front porch pretty but I don't know what will be able to make it through the summer heat. Thanks!

Alert | I read Hibiscus plants love FULL SUN and Reflected Heat..But with this Heat my Hibiscus plants are wilting. I don't know if they'll make it. Check with Leaf and Feather Farm for Suggestion.

Alert | | Impatiens or commonly known as "bizzy lizzies" are a good choice. There are different types of impatiens all do well in containers..place them in the center of the planter and put some vinca vine on the outer perimeter to trail over the sides.. or another good choice is portulaca for the trailing effect. All can tolerate sun, partial sun or shade.. | | ANYONE HOME? Alert | | My friend puts fake flowers in her pots during the summer and new plants in when the fake ones fade and the weather cools down. | | Need a tax write off? Donate to the Maricopa SALVATION ARMY EMERGENCY SERVICES FUND.

Alert | | Thank you for the suggestions! I'll check out the impatiens and portulaca. My porch doesn't get much sun so the hibiscus probably wouldn't like it. Although I have to say I'm kind of liking the idea of artificial flowers in the summer, much easier to keep "alive", lol.

I have to give a high-five to Shertex...I told her tonight she's got the "best darn looking" hibiscus I've seen around town..even my own are looking quite weathered...what's her secret??? SHHHH!!! don't tell her but,I spotted her sleeping bag tucked on the side of the house...either she's reading to them or singing some southern lullaby!!! | | ANYONE HOME?
