OK, I am ansty to trim toasted foliage off some of my plants and vines. I know that invigorates them, but should I wait until the heat of summer passes? some plants are in the shade mostly, but I don't want to endanger the happy new greenies peeking out underneath!

With my palm trees, I have cut back all the brown. I have been told it won't hurt to leave it either. I cut away only because I want to see more green and less brown. It shouldn't effect your plants IMO if you cut back now. Its up to you.

Thanks Ding Dong I really do appreciate the response! I just want to see the green parts of my plants but I don't want to finish them off!

I was told to leave them alone, but I don't like seeing the brown also. I trimmed the brown and damaged fronds of my palms.
