I studied green living a few years ago and still am very interested in it. I recommend researching the different appuratus and applications before contacting a saleperson. Sunpaid.com is the only company that I know of and they may be able to set you up with a refferal if they do not service Southern Az.

I have Solar City coming to my home on the 19th of June.  They started in CA and are coming our way.  They have lease programs so you do not have to pay the $20k up front for the system.  Our electric bill could be under $100 a month with this system.  Go to solarcity.com and you can request a visit.

Sure, no problem. The website is solarcity.com, if you wanted to get more information.

Well, bad news. Apparently, but not suprisingly, ED3 does not have any Solar program offereings or plans for the future. Unless they allow Solar City to make an agreement with them, then no one in Maricopa can use this company.

When I spoke to them about Maricopa, they assumed I was talking about Maricopa County. The meeting was good, but we cannot use this company until they make an arrangement with ED3.

Why can't you use it? Can ED3 actually prevent you from installing a solar system? Or will they just not rebate for the extra juice created.

No rebate. Since they are not an electric producing company (SRP, APS, TEC, etc.) they are not held to the laws of having to pay you for your generation of electricity. I even emailed SRP and APS (I think they get most of their power from them) and asked them to see if I could participate in their programs since we actually pay for their power. I got a big honking no.
