So, we live in the Villages at Rancho El Dorado and we have a termite trail coming out of one of our walls in the house. The company that supposedly did the five year pre-treatment is out of business and the company that bought them out is not being very helpful. Who is recommended for treatment in Maricopa?

You may want to try Orkin Pest at 866-518-8330 or www.orkin.com. They will come out and inspect and give you a price for treatment.

Here is some info on termite control. http://www.termite.com/termite-control/phoenix.html
You want to use either Premise or Termidor for termite treatment. Most of the pest control companies use either of these to kill termites. If you just spray with insectiside, it will not get rid of them.

Have you tried calling the builder and letting them know the company they used is out of business?
