Alert | I've been looking at Spencer's and Arizona Wholesale. Both use Puretech. Arizona Wholesale supply is who my builder uses for their water softeners and RO's.
Our builder's plumbing company, General Plumbing also sells and installs RO's and water softeners but use a company called B-N-R Industires. The plumber said they are the manufacture for many softners and the other companies usually put their name on them. (Like Puretech)
The plumbers have great customer service but I just don't know about the equipment.
All 3 companies prices are between $1300 to $1600 as long as preplumbed. Any ideas???

How much was your Rayne system?</div> I don't remember which model number we purchaced, but Brennen with Rayne said we didn't need to biggest one a recommended one appropriate for our house and family size. We also bought a carbon filter, which Brennen said we probably didn't need but we wanted any way. In addition to that we also installed an RO and had it plumbed to the fridg. We did already have a loop installed by the builder. So after all that we spent something like $2800.
I grew up here in the valley and thought that water softeners were a waist of money. My MIL has one and I still dislike it. However, after moving to Maricopa and having my clothes blotchy and stiff after being washed I contacted Brennen. He's a stand up guy and Rayne has a great warrenty. So we went with them. I contend to this day that it was the best money I've ever spent. I love my Rayne system.
A friend of my son's came over and they were getting water to drink. My son goes to the fridge and his friend just looked at him. My son says it's ok. The friend said our water in our fridge is aweful. I told him to try it that we have RO to the fridge. He took a drink and went wow that does taste good.

Alert | | I bought a Kenmore water softener from Sears when they were having a big sale, so got a great price on the unit. Then I had Maricopa Mtn Plumbing install the water softener (as well as put in a loop). They were great. At the time I didn't think I needed an RO system, but realised not long after that I did, so I had Maricopa Mtn Plumbing install that as well (and purchased the RO system from them). Both times they were here, their prices were great, they were professional, clean and friendly.
