I need a recommendation for a good weed and grass killer. I can't keep up with the weeds in my gravel back yard. I pull them every weekend and spray with roundup, by the next weekend the things are back, and about 2 feet tall. What can  i get to kill all the vegitation?

I'm sure it doesn't help that the houses surrounding my place are empty and unmaintained

Pour diesel fuel on the weeds.  Nothing will ever grow in that spot again.

Go to Ace and get the post-emergent weed killer. If you have already pulled the weeds, get the pre-emergent. It will keep most of them from growing back for about 3-4 months. I do my front and back yard twice a year and it keeps them from growing all over and out of control. I still have to pull one or two in between.  You have to spray the whole yard, not just the sprouts.  And make sure to cover any landscaping plants so that they don't get sprayed.

I use Ortho Groundclear. (come in a black bottle).. I usually buy the 1 gallon jug, and you mix it with water.. I also have a pump sprayer thingy, which makes it easy..

Only use this stuff in areas you want -no plants- of any kind.. Works great, and I only have to do it maybe 2x a year... I can usually come withing a foot or 2 of living plants without issue.
