Alert | | I am afraid my roses have fungus. . .the tree next to Precious is now full of blooms and buds that are rusty brown around the edges and look pretty yucky. If it is a fungus, how do I treat it?

Alert | | u sure they are not just being burned by the sun? are the leaves browning or yellowing too? normally thats a sign of too much water or salt buildup. | | listened for, they cannot be heard;looked for, they cannot be seen; felt for, they cannot be touched: old ninja proverb

Alert | The leaves are large and green with no yellowing or brown spots. The only place that I am seeing the rusty brown color is on the edges of the buds and blooms. Both rose trees are in full sun, but I have not seen anything like this in the past two summers. So far these two are the only ones that are showing these symptoms. The roses are a light pink and a red with a white center. Right now Blue Girl who first showed these rusty edges has stopped flowering and probable won't bloom again for a few months.
Thanks again for answering my questions. . .

Alert | | you know i think i might have the exact same rose varieties as you do. my blue girl while not blooming, is showing some new growth and the bush you describe also has some crispiness around the edges of the blooms. i really think these 2 varieties are very delicate and just cannot take the 90 plus degree weather. when october rolls around they will do better i bet | | listened for, they cannot be heard;looked for, they cannot be seen; felt for, they cannot be touched: old ninja proverb

Alert | | @janelltaz, imo its way way way way too late in the yr to plant roses. no way can they get established enough to take off when its 111 degrees outside. i would try to plant them in january although you need to find a place where they can get 8 hours of so of sun a day, roses need sun, water&nutrients to thrive. just my opinion........ | | listened for, they cannot be heard;looked for, they cannot be seen; felt for, they cannot be touched: old ninja proverb
