I have been looking at many sites on this condition. For the past 3 years or so I have been suffering with something really bothersome. I thought it was shingles and the doc really did not have an answer. My grandmother has this condition, however, she is close to 90! I know that it can effect all age groups. For those out there who have Fibromyalgia, does this symptom sound familiar? I get different areas on my body that just hurt if you touch me example my sides, arm, back of legs hamstring area especially. It feels like all of my nerve endings are at the surface! The area that is hurting if affected even if I take a chill and get goose bumps it will hurt! The area does not rash or show any strange discoloration and the pain will migrate. It will usually only last for a few days and go away. If anyone has any info please PM me.

Live every day as if it were your last and smile!

Have any of you found a medication that works for your fibro? My fibro started about 1 year ago, shortly after I was diagnosed with Hashimotos disease and I have been on numerous medications....none of which have yet managed the pain.

Colgate,

I have fibro and I also run a social and support group here in the valley for fibro and other chronic illnesses.  We meet both in person and online for support and friendship.

If you;'d like to join, here is the membership site:

If you need any further help, feel free to email me at azchronillnet@aol.com

Best,

hmm... several people wanted support for fibro but noone responded to my post about a group i run.. i guess people wanted something strictly in Maricopa.  We are online now too by the way and most of our members have fibro/cfs and are very supportive and a wonderful source of information.
