Yes it does. My son has one and it really does work. You just have to be careful and pace yourself and over time it does work.

You cant spot-train fat...crunches are great but if you dont lose that belly weight then you will never see that six-pack...Run Run Run...get a ball and do crunches nothing better

Problem is I run/walk on the treadmill everyday, and alot of the belly is gone but I need to tone and I get SOOOO bored doing crunches........on the floor and with my ball....BORING BORING BORING...

ya crunches suck...reaserch you will find ton of ab workouts (variations of the crunch) Good luck

Crunches do suck, but they do a body good.
Do variations, hitting the lower, upper abs and obliques.
I'd say by pace yourself, do them slowly and correctly. It's about the quality not the quantity.
