Is anyone here joining the Maricopa bootcamp offered through the city in February at Pacana Park? I mailed my registration last week. This will be the first time I've ever done anything like this.

You better make it count, cause you can't get it back!

It is February 4th through the 28th. The days are Monday through Thursday from 5:15a to 6:15a at Pacana Park. It is $60 for the class and you can print the registration form off of the city's website at www.cityofmaricopa.net. In the Announcements section there is a link to the Winter 2008 Activator with more info.

You will need to bring a set of small hand weights (5 - 10 pounds) and a yoga mat or blanket/towel.

wow, that is so tempting...I have to leave town at 6:25 to get my son to Chandler every morning...then I would have to start my own work late since a shower has to fit in somewhere..but I really might think about this. Is it possible for someone totally NOT fit to NOT feel like an idiot? Not embarrassing me etc.? Or is everyone 20 something? NOt that that is bad! LOL

According to The Activator, the class is taught by Tracy Dyll. Not sure exactly what is involved but I imagine it to be like the Adventure Boot Camp (www.maricopabootcamp.com) but a lot cheaper. Have you ever watched The Real Housewives of Orange County on Bravo channel? Two of the women on there were doing the Adventure Boot Camp and it showed a lot of their training on the show.

Classes like this are for people of all levels, shapes and sizes so I would not worry!

I will also have to modify my schedule a bit as I am used to going in to work early, but hey, it is only for a month (the shortest one of the year at that )

You know Janice, modifying the schedule for only a month is really what DOES make this look do-able! Thanks so much for pointing this out!!! I can look at one month at a time for a goal! I am not sure...have we met? Is your husband "ghost"? Maybe totally wrong, but I think we will meet in Feb.! How many people does it take to make a class and insure they will not cancel it?

Yes, we have. Ghost is my boyfriend & you and I met at George's party awhile back. =)

According to The Activator, the minimum is 7 people.

I can't make a final decision... I'm up all night long between my kids. I want to do it so bad, but I'm so sleep deprived as it is...

I am sending in my registration tomorrow. This sounds like a great work out and really inexpensive considering some of the other similar programs out there.

Any idea if they will be offering more of these bootcamps? My wife and I would love to do it, but February is bad month for us. We are Flight Attendants and have schedules in Feb. that would not work for this. We both want to though.

I'm sure they will. The site said this was the winter schedule and I believe it goes through March.
