That said SMIGON have you EVER gone to Karla? I do think Karla should not have given the time of day to M&M...But I believe Karla cares so much about her business and she could see what M&M was doing that it REALLY bothered her! YES she should have called her on it or PM'd her to get to the bottom of it Karla also posted that she regretted it.
</div>

No, I have never been to her and after going off on a customer on a public forum and calling her names, I don't intend to. It is good that she realized her error and deleted her post, but the damage is done.

You truly believe that Karla shouldn't give the time of day to a customer? I thought you said she cares about her business, or is it just a few select clients?

The closest M&M came to telling the story was saying that she didn't care for the customer service. You could say that about any business, it wouldn't stop me from shopping there, but if that businesses owner came back and bashed the poster, calling them names and telling the whole private story, I wouldn't patronize them either. Just bad business.

Spring training is just around the corner!

I know some may have called my posting questionable, however I thought about this for a long time before posting it.

the reason i did was bascially like this, Karla is good at her trade, and as a former customer i want the same quality. I asked her customers because i know they would want the same quality if Karla was not available, and that was a creative way for asking for reference to others, instead of the same old one posted here. I wanted Karla standards as well as her customers, not just an average cut. It was not intended to bash anyone. Nor have I done that.

And thanks to those who understand the question, responded and did not turn this into more drama than a few created

I know what customer service is, worked and appreciate great service for it, and money is not an issue. customer dedication is.
The true facts of my issue with Karla's customer service is not anyone elses business. Expect she put it out there.

You will never see me bash her or her abilities. and by the way, Greg was never an issue

Customer service is a funny thing. Seems there are some who you can never make happy no matter how hard you try. I work in customer service and I have some clients who know my product is great - they're still a pain in the rear, regardless. I think it goes back to the sense of entitlement that many young adults have now-a-days. They want things handed to them, they want everything free, they shouldn't have to work too hard, shouldn't have to pay for great service, shouldn't have to tip well... etc.

I have been to many hair dressers in my day, some good, many bad - some awful. I went to one "stylist" for nearly 12 years because she was nice (she was far from a great stylist, she was average, but nice and reasonably priced). I started using Karla a year ago, just after she opened. She knows my hair, she knows my color, she fits me in when I have a bad day and need to be pampered. I have referred every friend I have (and many strangers) to her and will continue to do so. I have never had one single problem with her service (neither has anyone else I've sent to her) and she has done my hair for three black tie events.

As a matter of fact, one of my friends did her own hair for an event Karla attended (Karla was booked) and when she ran into Karla at the event, Karla went into the powder room with her and fixed it (it needed to be fixed). She is a class act. The fact that she had a momentary lapse of judgement doesn't change my impression of her. She's passionate and dedicated and takes her work very personally.

(now why don't this stupid smiley faces work?)

Again I never asked for anything to be free.
And in my years, which I have more than I like to admit, I have had the opportunity to work in customer service, it is a hard job and you take a lot of crap, but money was never an issue.
Respect, dedication and customer service were and still are my issue. When I made my decision on my wedding, i spoke to family and friends, all of which were in the customer service field and they helped me see the big picture.
there is not doubt Karla is good at what she does, but just not what I am looking for.

M&M.....You say "not doubt Karla is good at what she does, but just not what I am looking for." M&M , but then you said in another post that you are looking for the same "I asked her customers because i know they would want the same quality if Karla was not available, and that was a creative...."

You are not loking for Karla, but you want the same as Karla.....wow do you know what you want??? Sounds like to me you need to elope, maybe the stress of the wedding is getting to you?

At least you know good quality work if you are looking for someone like Karla!

I like to think, in answer to the title of this post...."that there is a Studio Charme and I am dang happy about that!" I have a blast when I go there and if fact I needed an appt quick and me AND my daughter went to GREG and I have to say " I LOVE GREG TOO" i HAVE NEVER seen my daughter come home so full of confidence and happy about her haircut and she did a drastic cut, fro long to short and she looks sooooo good. I went today and I feel really good about it and love it too.
So People, THERE IS A KARLA AND GREG.....AND WE ARE LUCKY to have that top quality in our new, quaint, growing town. Sure no one is perfect, but MY whole family loves going there, and BEFORE I found this shop, I was bouncing around trying to find "the ONE" that made me happy and feel good about my hair.

"SO A BIG thanks to GREG for a great job, and and a big hug to my SWEETIE Karla" So glad you are here!!

If there were no Studio Charme I would cry my eyes our every day that I had to get up to do my wretchedly styled Great Clips hair cut.

M&M you might not have come right out and said anything but something was implied (at least to me) none the less.

Karla - you are the bee knees sister!

If your too open minded your brains will fall out.

Hey girl! I ran into Sinbad the other night and told him to send you my love.

Hmm..."the bee's knees" would be akin to "the cat's pajamas"

Does that help?

I saw LvMadonna and Sinbad at the Range on Saturday night. They walked right past us. [sad face]

I have horrible problem hair. My cousin did my hair since I was five (lots of years) and then she retired and I moved. I was going to a girl in Chandler, and she was okay, but not as good as Karla. My hair was straw and very uneven when I went to Karla over a year ago. She fixed it and helped me figure out how to keep it from becoming frizzy straw again.

I used to spend QUITE a bit of money going to David Pang, this guy who is supposed to be so great, and was highly recommended. He usually has two or three customers in chairs all around him. I never felt I was getting quality attention. One Christmas he overcharged me, did what he wanted with my hair without my permission, and then practically beat me up with the hairbrush blowing dry my hair. He really hurt me. I know beauty is pain, but I am just willing to endure that kind of pain. I would run into David on the street, at the store or the like. He would tell me I wasn't doing my hair right, that I must be using the wrong shampoo, and just shame me in front of who I was with.

Karla is quite the opposite, she gives me the attention and I feel relaxed when I leave. Plus I have so much fun when I go there. I go to Karla and my friend goes to Greg at the same time, and the four of us laugh so hard, my stomach hurts.

M&M and Karla should just kiss and make up. *@^&$ happens.

I just got done with my appointment with Greg.

It was fantastic! He did exactly what I wanted without me knowing what I wanted. (If that makes sense). Yeah, it costs a little more but it's totally worth knowing I have a great haircut and feel better about it.

FYI - when I called the woman was rude - come to find out it is an answering service so don't let that put you off!

I went to both Karla and Greg this week, Karla trimmed me up while Greg was out of town and because I had to go to Calif for a court appearance I needed a little trim. As soon as Greg got back he colored me and gave me some extra flair for the holidays. They Rock!

Greg also came in sick on the 28th when I popped in to see if he could give me a quick styling for our wedding, not only did he style me FANTASTIC but he also took the time to touch up my color! He came in from his home just for me! GREG is awesome!

Just out of curiousity, how much does studio charme cost for long hair??

Honestly, I do agree to an extent that you get what you pay for. I used to go to an inexpensive haircutter for a while and half the time, you couldn't even tell i got a haircut and other times, they said they would do something totally different to give me a different look and it looked exactly the same as it did before.

Also... does anyone go to greg or most people to karla? I met greg a while back because he lives in my subdivision. I know he travels to CA frequently for clients he has back there. What a gem of a person and funny too!!!!

Their website is studiocharme.com and it has a price list......

I go to Greg by default, he was available the first time I called for an appointment and I love what he did so I keep going back.

The best i would have to say is KAREN @ Hair Focus.

She is sweet, fun and has years of experience. She does a perfect job every time! She is the only one that i would let cut my hair. My hair is very long and very thick, her techniques and her gift with using shears or a razor is amazing. I recommend her 100%

Since I found Karla, I have no reason to look elsewhere! Since I moved here 5 years ago, I have been to many of the salons in Ahwatukee and Chandler. I am SOOOOO happy to have found Karla! She saved my ugly hair last night and kept me cracking up. Karla, love, love, love me hair. (insert smiley face)
