I have been "under the weather" for 2 days now and I called at random this medical center this afternoon at 1 thinking they wouldn't be able to see me. Instead they said come right now and I was so happy to hear that. I really didn't want to wait until 4:45 for this matter.

I got there and it was quick and painless. I got right in the door and I was only left in the room for minutes to see a doctor.

I'm so happy to find this place and the staff was wonderful. I highly suggest calling there if you have something that needs to be taken care of. I'd go there again in a heartbeat.

Nice to hear something good about the health care here in Maricopa. However being in the medical field myself for many years, your story does bring back memories of my years in the ER, when patients would come in the middle of the night with a cold that has been going on for days and get upset when they had to wait a little to be seen by the doctor, because it was inconvient for them to see their family doctor or wait a few hours while we took care of a heart attack patient or someone that was just in a car accident. Glad they were able to take care of you right away.

I am a healthcare writer and just finished an article on this same topic. It was an informational article educating the public on how and when to use the ER vs regular physician and urgent care.

Just thought I'd share.

I also love Agave. I have seen Dr Macko since we moved here - right before they opened. He is great and the whole team seems to work well together. Glad you got in and hopefully are feeling better.

The best present ever! A day at the Phoenix Zoo as a Zookeeper. Feeding the giraffs was one of the most exciting parts of the day.

Yeah, well it was a UTI. Those babies just come out of nowhere and certainly need attention. I wasn't going to go to the ER but I also didn't want to wait until tomorrow because of the pain I was in. Not to mention the constant jaunt to the bathroom every 5 minutes! LOL!

When I called I was so surprised that they weren't booked for the day. Thank goodness! Made me experience SO much more pleasant and the meds have started kicking in a mer 3 hours later and I'm feeling relief already. Yay me!

I had my first appt. with Agave and they were super! I saw Dr. I think her name was Kyle can't remember her last name. Anyway....the best bedside manner and very thorough. The girl who drew my blood for my pre ops was fantastic! She took 4 tubes of blood and as she changed out each she was very smooth and did not jerk a bit. I would highly recommend Agave.

I haven't been happy with them at all. When you call at 8 in the morning when they are "open" their answering machine says they are closed. I push O and wait forever on hold for someone to pickup. When I told them about the phone trouble she was so mean to me and said "Is THIS what you called to tell me?"

I have been a patient for a while so I had no choice but to go there until I find a new dr, but I calmly told her a new patient wouldn't know they were open and to hear "Our offices are now closed" at 10 am would lose them plenty of business. I did it to be nice (and to make an appt)

Besides if I have to go to Chandler to have my lab work done I may as well have a dr. up there as well. If they can draw my blood down here and have someone bring it up there every day I would stay but it's not worth having an appt here and driving up there for labs.

Sonoran Labs now has a tech at Agave for Lab Work full time. Agave has also replaced the front office staff in a move to present a more professional facility. I have no complaints with Agave. I think Dr. Macko and Dr. Stoekman are awesome.

Is there an M.D. in Maricopa. My mother is 88 and prefers an m.d.

I too, give them a great rating. I've been there a several times and have nothing bad to say about them.
