I am looking for a new doctor and was considering Dr. David Kells in Chandler. I was wondering if anyone is familiar with him. Thanks!

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HIM. I had the worst experience of any doctor in my life with him. The story is a little gruesome for a forum.

He is my doctor, and I loved him with my first pregnancy. Lees2, I am curious about your story. It just seems so hard to find a doctor here.

Here is my 2 cents....take it for whatever it is worth. My husband went with me to almost every singe appointment I had. In the beginning, I requested to only see Dr. Kells. He was friendly, funny, and never seemed to be in a rush when talking to me. Eventually, I ended up seeing more of the nurse midwife, Ana. She is no longer there. (This was almost three years ago)

This year I have had to use the office again. This time I was never scheduled with Dr. Kells. I always saw the FNP, but to be honest, I felt like she didn't know what the heck she was talking about.

One woman at the front office made me cry when I was preggo, but all of the nurses are really friendly.

I suggest you do a meet and greet with him. Good luck.

I know Dr. Kells personally and think well of him. As far as a choice in Maricopa though, Dr. Caroline Carrion and Dr. Debra Wickman are practicing at Drs. Goodman & Partridge, OB/GYN right in Maricopa. I work there and don't intend this as advertisement as I know the site is against that, just as information for you because you are considering a doctor.

I know people that love Kells and some that hate him. My SIL is an RN in L&D at a hospital where he delivers and she says Kells is okay.

If you can't spot the loser, it might be you

I have gone to Dr. Kells for the past 8 years, and wouldn't go anywhere else. Everyone on his staff has been wonderful. I have also seen his PA Janice Bovee, who is also wonderful. I would definately give him a chance. He has a warm personality, and makes you feel very comfortable (or as comfortable as you can be) during your visit.

First was very late for a surgery, because he forgot (I overheard a nurse). Second he did an inappropriate procedure in his office, stopped when he realized, then told me he would no longer treat me. Third, I nearly died and ended up in an emergency room.

It's your choice.
