gilbert and now that these DR's appear on my insurance, wondering who you recommend for Family Practice??

Alert | | I have seen Dr. Macko and Dr. Schatzki. Dr. Macko is very thorough which I liked. I actually trust him to be my kids doctor even though he is not a pediatrician. I also liked Dr. Schatzki becuase he explains things very well and is actually interested in making you feel better. I like just about every one at Agave. Very fast getting you in (most of the time), you dont have to sit in a office waiting a half an hour for the doctor to actually see you. I would definitely recommend Agave Family Physicians. | | | |

Alert | | I have been to Agave and I loved them, but then our ins changed. we see Dr Carroll now and he is very nice, very thorough and all of the staff there are nice and good with my kids, but also speak to me as a parent. If I could go anywhere I would probably choose Agave, but I do like Dr Carroll. | | | |

Alert | I really like Dr. Paul, she's very open and answers questions and freely gives information. Sometimes it's a challenge to get an appointment, but if you are sick you and you go there at 8am or 1pm and are the first 5 in line you get in. Since it's not 'her' office it's run through Sunlife, sometimes the front desk gals have been challenging, but the last few times I've been they were great. The other upside, her hubby runs the Urgent care in Ahwatukee. So when we have gone there and seen him it's all been good.

and Java, I know.....I have been in the Medical field too long and another reason I am thinking of changing is my other DR has turned to mostly typing on the computer. Soooooooo | |

Alert | Dr Copus was great. I wish I knew where she went. I don't know the new dr.'s name over there, maybe he is good too.

Any input on Dr Shaw?
Who is now at Maricopa family health center? any input?
And who is at Sun LIfe??

Alert | The only Dr. that I have seen on your list is Dr. Paul. I do not recommend the office (I find it dirty). I have always had a very long wait and not all the impressed with Dr. Paul or her PA's.
I, like you, work in a lab and are very aware of my health care options. I consider my self an educated patient and it was hard for me to find a Dr. that understood that. I finally have see a Dr. and PA in Chandler (Chandler and Fry next to Chandler Hospital) that understands me and actually likes that I come in to the office with a list of blood work I need and possible medications I that would work best for me! Soon we won’t need Dr's we will all be able to diagnose ourselves with a little research! LOL

Yes, the Doctor at Maricopa Family Health Center is Dr. Amish Purohit. We go there and he is great. My boys go to him too and they love him. We did go to Copus before, but they like Dr. Purohit better. He's very thorough and he's pretty easy to get an appointment with. My son broke his finger yesterday and we just showed up at his office and he fit us right in. He has been very good with my son and has really put him at ease with everything. I have no problem recommending him at all. | |
