So this guy practically lived on microwave popcorn for years, in what was probably a poorly ventilated house with what was probably an antiquated microwave.

Alert | Realize this guy made popcorn "several times a day every day"!! When the first report came out about saccharin causing cancer the saccharin manufacturers used the same study guidelines to prove that both salt and sugar could cause cancer under those conditions. ANYTHING in excess can cause cancer.
