I just started last week and was wondering how many others in Maricopa were on the plan too!

I've been doing it on my own for a few weeks now. I heard months ago about meeting starting in Maricopa, but then that topic died off.

Reina, are you doing the online version?

I am, but would love to attend the meetings, but I just don't want to drive into town for them.

I love weight watchers but can't seem to find the interest/energy to get myself back into it. My kid is going to be a year old next month and I still have baby weight to lose (as I'm stuffing my face with cereal bars). I use to go weigh in Monday nights in Sun Lakes. The instructor is the same one that does the "mommy & me" class in Tempe.

I'd LOVE to have a meeting out here to attend (preferably one I could bring my kids to if need be).

I think I remember reading from the old site, when the weight watcher topic came up that they needed like 10 members to have meetings here in Maricopa.

I am really struggling to get my exercise in. Its just too hot to go walking or running, w/o getting up at 5 am, and that's not gonna happen here. Any suggestions on what you all do.

I actually get up early and get out before it gets too hot and ride my bike. Do you have a points booster slide card? You can count your housework/yard work and daily activities as activity points too. The card has a sliding scale for low, moderate and high activity levels and how many points it is for the time you spent doing it. You could try workout tapes, or walk/run stairs if you have them. Try walking in place in front of your TV.
They talked about this a few weeks ago at a meeting, one lady said you could used your canned goods even as weights to work out with.

I have been going to the Friday classes out at Sunlakes. I think I am going to call the main number today and see what we have to do to get a meeting out here.

I'm a lifetime member... I've been off plan for the last 9 months b/c I'm pregnant, but will need to get back in gear in a few weeks here. I'm going to call the main number today too - maybe if enough of us call they will realize there really is a demand here in Maricopa! I need my meetings!

cdpedro, I don't do it online. I have a couple of recipe books, calculate all of my points, and I journal my eating throughout the day. A lot of support from friends and family helps also!

I called and left a message. I think you are right though. If quite a few of us call maybe they will work something out.
Here is the number you need to call.

602-248-0303

The first lady I talked to told me about a new center opening in Chandler (not Maricopa) so you have to ask for the General Manager and leave a name, number and message.

Okay, I just talked with the general manager. She said they need to find a facility that will let them host a meeting on Tuesday nights. Does anyone have a church or know of a place that would let them host the meetings there are Tuesday nights?

I was doing it at home, and then started seeing a nutritionist, who pulled me off. I gained some weight, and now looking to return to WW, since that's the only thing that worked to keep the weight OFF.
I still need. to lose. I would love some weight loss buddies.
