Two weeks now and I haven't had a diet soda at all! I can feel the difference already. Water and my low sugar hydrating drink are all I've been having. I haven't had anything with Nutrasweet at all. My mom has bad Fibromyalgia and drinks Diet Coke on occasion. I told her she needs to stop since it's so bad for her and I told her what it has in it. She stopped that day. I'm pretty proud of of her and myself actually.

Jerome,
Hate to burst your bubble, but I was just wondering why you belive that suger would be less desierable? At least it comes from the earth, not a lab. Also there are plenty of research studies showing the harmful effects of aspertame on both animals and humans. Unfortunatly they are just not as readily available as the studies that are paid for by the makers of Aspertame showing "no harmful effects". That being said I totally respect your decision to drink whatever you want, just thoght you might want to know more. Here is a couple of helpful websites.
www.dorway.com
www.sweetdeception.com

I think it is hard to tell the difference between the sites like www.sweetpoison.com and www.sweetdeception.com and the big pharma sites like www.nutrasweet.com and www.splenda.com. They are all selling something and trying to take advantage of either our hopes or fears to promote their product. They are full of opinion and propaganda carefully couched as facts. They all make reference to studies that support their points while ignoring or attacking those that don't. When they do directly quote studies it is carefully excerpted to only include lines that support their positions. I think it is very difficult to sort out the truth from the propaganda with the info available on any of those sites, whether pro or con. It can be a pain, but the only way is to read the full, unedited studies and draw your own conclusions regarding not only the results, but also the quality and design of the study.
