Alert | Not me, I'm trying regular diet first. I have seen the list of side effects, my favorite is their recomendation to wear 'tan or darker' pants due to oily, spotty flatulance and leakage.<img src='http://www.85239.com/desktopmodules/ntforums/images/emoticons/biggrin.gif' height='20' width='20' border='0' title='Big Grin' align='absmiddle'> No, I am not kidding. | | ..... Alert | WOW! LOL.
I believe there was a thread about it on the old board so I'm sure others will chime in soon enough. | | Ramsey Fan-sey

Alert | | No diet here, I made a "lifestyle change". No fast food, no packaged food. Fresh meats, fruit and veggies and I watch my portions. If I grab some fast food no worries I just make sure my next meal isn't junk. It actually costs less to eat natural (as close to the source as possible) than to buy packaged or boxed meals.

Alert | | Too funny about the pants. I was talking to my friend about it and she told me some stuff....I will not go there. Long story short, I did not buy the product! | | Senior Member Posts: 5042 Joined: Jan 2006 You better make it count, cause you can't get it back!

Alert | | I have been using ALLI for about 3 weeks now. Total weight loss is at 10 lbs. I am very active. I care for 34 horses plus a bunch of other critters. I do eat a low fat diet and have had NO problems with the product. Actually, my diet is so low fat that I think I am having the opposite effect. For the first time since I have had my Gall Bladder out 10 years ago I have been constipated. ALLI helps the body pass the fat that one eats. If you don't eat fat, no problems. I am not sure if the pill does the job or it is the fact that I take one right before I eat that reminds me to watch what I consume, but whatever the case, I am going to continue with the product.

Alert | | I was thinking about doing it. My friend has been doing it for a week without any side effects. I think the side effects help you to think twice about what you are putting in your mouth.

Alert | | I keep seeing it in stores. I'm a little afraid to try it. I'd hate to spend 50+ dollars to poop myself! | | "Ain't nothin' but a barn dance, sugar. Ain't nothin' but a round de round" - Sara Tidwell and the High Tops

Alert | On Yahoo! they did an piece on Alli, and it is pretty disturbing about the side affects. the manufacturer suggests that you "wear dark clothing and take a change of clothes to work" as well as there may be "loose or more frequent stools that may be hard to control, or gas with an oily discharge." Part of the story: The company that makes Alli informs us of what it calls the pill's "treatment effects," which include "loose or more frequent stools that may be hard to control, or gas with an oily discharge."
About 50 percent of the research participants had these side effects, and so the makers of Alli recommend wearing dark pants and bringing a change of clothes to work. But sales have been high, so these embarrassing "treatment effects" must not be keeping people away.
Alli's maker does get credit, however, for recommending using its product along with a diet and exercise program. They suggest reduced-calorie meals containing less than 15 grams of fat. And I was impressed that on their Web site they recommend partnering with a registered dietitian to help with weight loss. I also thought the book "The Alli Diet Plan" had some good meal strategies and recipe ideas. Alli costs about $60 for a pack of 90 pills, and since the dose is up to three pills per day, one pack may last only about a month.

Alert | I just keep imagining the commercials for Alli in the future, just picture it:
Having a person who lost 60 pounds holding up their old "fat" pants and there is a stain on the back. They give a wink and a thumbs up and then drop the pants and run to the restroom. LOL>

Alert | I have been taking Alli now for about 6 weeks and have lost 17 pounds. As long as I keep my fat grams below 15 per meal there are no treatment effects. I do follow a low fat 1200-1500 calorie per day diet. I would have lost weight anyway but Alli seems to have added a few extra pounds lost which is exactly what it says it will do. I think it is great and it seems to be working well. I would recommend it to anyone.
All of the news articles about leakage and such are scare tactics. Alli can do all of those things but not if you eat a healthy diet. You have to commit to eating healthy. Alli won't make you lose weight all by itself. Well it will but you would have to move into your bathroom for a very long time!
