I was wondering if anyone knew of a nail solution for my nails after taking off my acrylics? I just want them to hurry and grow.
Thanks in advance.

Hmm, I RIPPED mine off 4 or 5 weeks ago. They are finally coming around. I bought some clear stuff and only used it once. I guess it is just a waiting game!! Now I am finally ready for a manicure. Good Luck.

You better make it count, cause you can't get it back!

Waiting game. I do this every so often, I will get nails and then take them off. The best thing to do is just wait it out. I usually put clean polish on them just to protect since they are so thin.

Be sure to use vitamin E oil around your cuticles. It will stimulate healthy nail growth and keep your cuticles nice. It is available in almost every cosmetic section of the any store.

I use it twice a day and just swipe it on and leave it. Don't rub it in. My thoughts anyway.

The best present ever! A day at the Phoenix Zoo as a Zookeeper. Feeding the giraffs was one of the most exciting parts of the day.

I'm in the same boat...I've had acrylics for about 13 years, and I finally ripped them off. I am officially done! What seems to be working for me, is keeping my cuticles pushed back and cut (with vitamin E oil daily) and also there is a product from OPI called "Nail Envy" that you apply daily for 7 days then use remover and start all over. Good luck...this process sucks!

I second (or third) the Vitamin E oil. Keep your nails cut short to prevent tears, and apply the OPI nail strengthener system. I think it is a base coat, strengthener, top coat and ridge filler. Like Darci said, remove it all once a week and start over. They also have this three-in-one system that is a base coat, top coat and strenghener in one bottle. I don't really like that one though. It was really goopy.

You may also consider supplement usage. Nail health relies on sufficient supplies of protein, B vitamins, vitamin A, calcium, zinc, iodine and iron. I have heard people have great results in skin, nails and hair using prenatal vitamins.
