Has anybody in the area tried or have one of the pop up pools?  We are buying a new home and were trying to purchase a pool with it.  But of course the preferred pool builder was way too expensive.  So we are now looking at alternatives.  I've been looking at them on walmart.com and their not too expensive.  Just looking for some local, honest reviews on them.  They seem like a good deal, and would provide for good summer time entertainment for us and our two small children (2 and 5).  Thanks.

If you are talking about the large inflatable ones....our son had one that they used for one summer. He found the upkeep (cleaning) too time consuming. The filter that came with it did not work well. The kids loved it though !!!

We bought one of those large Walmart pools last summer and had terrible luck with it. We could not keep it clean! As the summer got hotter, the water got greener and what the previous post said about the pump not working well was true. We finally took it down and threw it away. We had to buy chemicals way more often than what the box said. I would not recommend it. It is an affordable solution in some cases, but maybe there is something different about Arizona. Also the water got so hot the kids didn't want to get in anyway. Sorry to be the Scrooge.
