Anyone know a good spot to rent a cabin up north? Im looking for something that has some decent privacy. No hotel type stuff. Jsut anywhere we can go chill out and the kid can play in the snow and the lady and I can chill by the fire at night. Flagstaff? Pinetop? Gotta be over a weekend and thinking within the next 2 months. THX

In Pinetop there is a place called "whispering pines"; it has 30 or so cabins, all spaced apart so you can hardly see people on their porches, and the place backs up to a forest. It is a great place, and is about $110 dollars per night for a cabin for 2-3 people. You can even bring pets if you want. I would check it out; I've been there 3 times and plan to go back in the future.

Pine right out of Payson has A shaped 2 story cabins on strawberry hill, along a river that were always my favorite going up as a kid.

I am so excited to come across your posts, however it took me quite some searching to find you. Would you agree that we maybe need a more direct catagory than Entertainment and Leisure for Favorite get-away spots? Maybe call the new catagory: Out of town get-a-ways, or, the Arizona Family Vacation.... help me here.
Lets throw out some ideas, because I know that with all of us, we have ideas and favorite spots that we can share.
This may be a flop, but at least I tried. We shall see!
