For anyone interested, there are Square Dance lessons, Thursdays at 6:00 and Round Dance lessons, Tuesdays at 6:00. These are for beginners or experienced dancers and are held at Sun Lakes (about 20 miles from Maricopa). If you are interested, call Barb Haines (480) 802-2745. You need to sign up during the next week.

How fun, I encourage anyone to sign up! While I never learned to dance, square dancing was a huge part of my life growing up. I loved going on vacations with the Arizona Rangers (an AZ square & round dance club), the yearly festivals my family helped put on were always fun and I stilll look forward every year to participating in the white elephant gift exchange with my families square dance friends! My grandfather is a recently retired square dance caller. I can truly say it is so much more than just dancing. And it's not just for "old people"!
