Alert | I was a bit of a procrastinator in putting in my pre-order (never did it). I ordered it from BestBuy online yesterday. It came with free expedited shipping and should be here on Friday. That's okay though, since I won't have time to play it till then anyway. I was only able to get the basic game (no special or legendary edition), so no kitty Master Chief helmet for me.
Hey riki, have fun playing... umm... Lair? Didn't that get something like 56/100 on Metacritic? Oh, but you've got Heavenly Sword... except that it's SO short that you probably played through 3 times the first day you got it. LOL! | |

ok yes Lair sucked so bad, i bought it and the controls are god awful. if they had used the analog sticks it would be good but alas they didnt. i didnt buy HS but it looks pretty good but short, like what most reviews are saying. i am actually picking up SKATE for my niece, folklore which is an RPG on the 9th, plus ratchet&clank,the simpsons game, stranglehold etc etc this october for the PS3. how long did it take for 360 to get one good game, which was GOW? yep thats right it took them a yr, PS3 is right on track with 360 as far as games go at the same time in their repective lifeline. Halo 3 is a great game, but basically its a pretty halo 2 with more weapons&maps and better controls which isnt necessarily a bad thing but its hardly revolutionizing the series let alone the FPS genre. | |

Halo 3 has made me reconsider buying an XBOX 360... I passed by the Halo 3 game pack at Costco the other day and was soooooo tempted to throw down $500 and get it...
the game looks killer...

Nothing.. other than I'm cheap..lol..
I couldn't justify to myself spending $500 for a 360.. I already have a PS2 and Xbox... and my kids play them alot more than I do..
Sigh... nonetheless.. I ended up buying the Xbox 360 "Halo 3 limited edition" pack from Costco yesterday...lol...

lol.. I'm the exact opposite..
on a side note.. I have absolutely refused to play Halo 3 so far.. the "Super Special Limited Edition Xbox 360 Halo 3 Super Jumbo Special Pack" I bought a week ago is still unopened..
I got Halo with my first Xbox.. I think I spent the next week in a "Halo-induced trance" playing that game.. I'm getting scared to attempt Halo 3... for fear that I might have to take a sudden vacation to keep playing it... lol..

I won't be playing online until I at least beat H3.. I want to have "some" skills.. lol.. you know, to last longer than a few minutes..
