You are correct ! Led Zep did play at Kinetic Playground also... Kinetic Playground was almost a shrine to rock in its heyday. Finally went back years later to take a walk thru the past only to find out the building had been totaled 6 months earlier. </div>
Where exactly was it located?

Alert | | Depeche Mode and Smashing Pumpkins are right up there, but if I had to pick one it would have to be ELVIS!!! He is still the hottest man to have ever held a microphone and still no one has had a better voice than him. I like his voice much better, after he died.

Alert | Drummer72 It was at 4800 N clark in Chicago... It was neat because if you were waiting in line to get tickets the line when out into a Cemetary. Kind of weird but cool in those days. By the late 1970's most of the bands changed to going to the big venues or outdoor concerts so the Kinetic Playground fell on hard times. Sometime in the early 1980's it was sold and became the Raindo Roller Rink.. A roller skating place. The roller rink did okay during the 80's but fell on hard times during the 90's. Still raindo roller rink kept a shrine to the Kinetic PLayground and the stage still remained.. Actually the only thing they did was add a roller rink in the middle. When the roller rink closed it remained empty and fell into disrepair. Finally i think around 2005 the roller rink people sold out to a guy who demolished the building to build a high rise condo. When i went their in late 2005 the condo was being built. Since a new club called Kinetic Playground has opened in chicago but it's not at the original site nor in anyway related. They simply bought the name from the original owner of the Kinetic Playground. | | | |
