Hands down New Kids on the Block. Joey was my fave. I got to meet him several years ago and I busted out my giant Joey poster for him to autograph, he was amused.

I refuse to vote for any member of the CFR

I've seen them twice, two: World Violation Tour '92(San Diego)
Touring the Angel '05 (Phoenix)

Maybe, he'll tour for his next "solo" project due out next month.

I'll definitely be there for DM the next time around.

The Partridge Family -- just because it would be so, SO fun!! Even though Danny is a wreck and Mom has gotten a bit old, it would still be a hoot to see them sing "I Think I Love You".

David Cassidy = my first love at the tender age of 8. Sigh.

Sapo

P.S. I just told my husband what I wrote and he said "I sure hope that no one on 85239 knows that you're married to me." He is a music snob.

Easy.....

Count Esterhazy put his personal house quartet - one of the finest in Vienna in its time - at Beethoven's disposal and this unit performed many of LvB's chamber works for the first time and under his personal direction. Oh... to be the fly on the wall for the Op 57 and/or Op 135 quartets! The Grosse Fugue is one of the greatest rock numbers of all time. Jimi was reputably jealous of this piece!

Right up there, and second choice for number one on the "hits I most regret I missed list" is the first public performance of the Eroica Symphony No. 3 which was truly a music history seminal moment. Politics, art, soul and inovation melded.... the crown went nuts, the world changed.

Third choice would to have been there for Charlie Parker and Dizzy at any one of the smokey venues they played on 34th Street circa late 40's. The full flowering of Be-Bop!

A close second (for third) would be Miles Davis' first quintet during the sessions for "A Kind of Blue". Jazz would never be the same after this modal masterpiece. Coltrane coming of age and Miles blowing magic.

and then there is Frank Zappa's last gig at the Filmore East. I was on the way to the gig but was too hung over and residually stoned from my previous evening and slept in my car and missed it.

I could go on....

cheers
Jack

and for the bottom of the pops, the last choice, and classic excremental examples of the musical gulag that was the late 70's-80's(sorry Sapo!); The Partridge Family at any venue at any time! (tough call, I'd have to say the Bay City Rollers, Pat Boone in his white suit and shoes creepy Las Vagas mode, and anything played solo on the accordian are also in contention for the bottom of the barrel and high on my list of "sure glad I missed that").

cheers
Jack

Oh sorry JG. Well, you can have him now. He has gotten old. Funny, I haven't aged at all though. LOL.

All of my friends were in LOOOVE with Donny Osmond and Bobby Sherman but I was true to only David.

We must be just about the same age Jersey Girl.

Sapo
