We're planning a 5-day get-away for our anniversary next month and wondered if anyone had a recommendation on a reasonably priced place to stay either on the beach or close to it. Having a golf course close by would be a plus <img src='http://www.85239.com/desktopmodules/ntforums/images/emoticons/biggrin.gif' height='20' width='20' border='0' title='Big Grin' align='absmiddle'>

He have stayed at the Marriot and Hyatt in the Marina several times, very nice close to the gaslamp district.
We also stayed at the Paradise Point Resort and Spa. Beautiful place.

Shop around for hotels, depending on when you go, you may find a great rate!

I dont golf so I cannot help you there.
congratulations on your anniversary and have fun!

It was very nice.....very relaxing. We went for our anniversary. It's minutes from Ocean Beach and Mission Beach. 20 min from LaJolla. And you can book rooms with their own beach front. The hotel has private beach surrounding it. LOVED it.

We booked through Priceline....and we're lucky to get them. Good luck!!

It's hard to suggest anything.. What the price range?

Price doesn't matter? Stay at one of the Mission Beach hotels... RIGHT ON THE BEACH... sweet

Just doing it one day at a time. Change is good and it should be looked upon as an improvment! not a problem.

Best Western Island Palms Hotel & Marina on Shelter Island in San Diego Bay. No golf courses nearby (you'd have to go to Mission Valley for the closest one probably), but great views and very romantic, especially if you get a room with a bay view, as we did.

Or, if you've got the $$$, there's always the Hotel Del (Coronado) on Coronado Island.

Bahia resort or Catamaran hotel on mission beach. Beautiful, private inlet on bay. Ponds, exoitic birds & fish on the grounds. Pricey, but worth it. But specials are sometimes on their websites.
Go to www.evanshotels.com and it will show you all their CA properties.!

i stayed in the hilton, marriott, and holiday in. i like the holiday inn b/c it's closer to the water (i think it's right in front of Harbor Blvd or across from that big ship). i think my stay at the H.I for $55/night, but that's about 3 yrs. ago. all my reservations were from PriceLine, but i think you could call the hotel and see if you can get their best deal.

i don't like people who uses "signature" on their profile. TAKE IT OFF!!!
